The Peters Township Farmers Market is open from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, through Sept. 26, in the parking lot of St. David’s Episcopal Church, located on East McMurray Road in Venetia. The market features more than 25 vendors, weekly entertainment and prepared foods. The Municipality of Bethel Park will hold its annual rabies clinic from 10 a.m. to noon on June 2, at the Bethel Park Volunteer Fire Company, Brightwood Road Station. Dr. Marina Siegert of the Bethel Park Animal Clinic will administer the vaccine. All residents are encouraged to bring their pets, both cats and dogs, to be inoculated. A one-year rabies shot will be given. Bring proof of rabies vaccine with you for a three-year shot at the same cost. Microchipping will also be offered. Fees are $10 for a rabies shot and $45 for a microchip. Cat licenses are $2 (one-year license) and $5 (three-year license). Applications for state dog licenses will also be available. Upper St. Clair Partners in Education (PIE) will host a meet and greet with the Student Support Services Department from 9 to 10:30 a.m. June 5, at the district’s central office board room. This is an opportunity to welcome new families and to identify meeting topics for the 2018-19 school year. Open to all interested Upper St. Clair families, the meeting may be of particular interest to parents whose children have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 plan. Country Meadows of South Hills, 3580 Washington Pike (Building III), Bridgeville, welcomes veterans at 12:30 p.m. June 6, to mark the 73rd anniversary of D-Day, and share their stories and service. Following lunch, Glenn Flickinger, a military history enthusiast, will discuss the events leading up to, and on, D-Day. For more information, call Erika Seibel at 412-257-2855.

The 2018 Upper St. Clair High School Class of 2018 Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies will be held June 7. Baccalaureate will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the theatre, with the commencement ceremony following at 7 at the stadium, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, commencement will be relocated to the high school gymnasium and seating will be limited. Each student will receive four bar-coded tickets for access to the high school gymnasium, if needed due to rain. Those tickets will be delivered electronically to the senior’s @uscstudents.org email account no later than June 1. If the ceremony is relocated indoors, spectators will enter the school via the theatre entrance. Additional seating will be available in the high school large group instruction (LGI) room, nutrition center and theatre, where a live video feed will be shown. The theatre and LGI will be an option whether graduation is held inside or outside. The commencement ceremony will also be televised on Verizon channel 41, throughout the community on Comcast channel 19, and live streamed online at uscsd.org/graduation2018.
