Pop-up sale

Friends of Family Hospice & Palliative Care will hold a pop-up sale of high-end, gently-used goods from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 27, at 50 Moffett Street in Mt. Lebanon. Proceeds benefit Family Hospice patients and their families. Cash and checks accepted.

Lottery calendars

St. Elizabeth Elementary School, Baldwin, now has 2019 Lottery Calendars available for purchase for $30 each, with daily payouts of $50, nine days with a payout of $100, and two days with a payout of $150. Hoagie fundraiser

Bethel Park High School Band, Bethettes, Orchestra and Top 21 will be selling 12-inch hoagies once again as its main fundraiser. The three types of hoagies include regular, special and turkey. Game night

Joni Mitchell tribute

Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western PA will present Miles of Aisles: a 75th Birthday Tribute to Joni Mitchell at 8 p.m. Nov. 2, at the Hard Rock Cafe, Pittsburgh. Doors open at 7. Admission price of $20 in advance or $25 at the door includes the concert, financial planning tips, a make-up consultant and chair massages. A limited number of VIP tables are available. Giving Gala

Jewelry sale

Operation Troop Appreciation’s 8th Annual Gently Used Costume Jewelry Sale will be held Nov. 9 and 10, at the South Park Community Center, 2675 Brownsville Road. Hours are 1 to 7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. The sale will feature more than 35,000 pieces of jewelry, priced $1-$5 per piece, many with price tags still attached. Y108 will be broadcasting from the event. There will be an “American Auction” with prize baskets. Free parking. Proceeds provide support to deployed troops and returning displaced troops. Trunk-or-Treat

Crossroads Ministries, Finleyville, will hold Trunk-or-Treat from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 24, in the parking lot of the church located at 81 Walter Long Road. Children must be accompanied by an adult at this kid-friendly event. Register at www.crsmin.com.

Halloween bingo

Drug collections

In conjunction with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration National Drug Take-Back Day, PRC will partner with PA American Water to host the following drop-off collection events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 27: Green Tree Borough Building, 10 W. Historical brewing

The Fort Pitt Museum, part of the Smithsonian-affiliated Senator John Heinz History Center museum system, will host a 21+ Fort Night celebrating Pittsburgh’s beer history from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 27. This after-hours program for guests ages 21 and older will explore Pittsburgh’s 18th-century beer history. Jewish comedy night

Chabad of the South Hills will hold its 4th Annual Jewish Comedy Night at 7 p.m. Oct. 28, in the Music Hall at the Carnegie Free Library, 300 Beechwood Ave., Carnegie. Victorian Tinsel

Giant Oaks Garden Club will hold its annual Victorian Tinsel fundraiser on Nov. 2, at the Hilton Garden Inn, Southpointe.
