On Nov. 4, Bower Hill Community Church’s adult education class will meet at 10:45 a.m. Daniel Blevins will speak on the Veterans Leadership Program and what can be done to help homeless veterans. The class will be held in the Friendship Room at the church located at 70 Moffett Street. Members of the community are welcome to attend. Volunteers are needed to help serve, set up and clean up at Community of Christ Church’s monthly Dinner for a Dollar on Nov. 8. The church, located at 3472 South Park Road in Bethel Park, is asking for help at 8 a.m. on Nov. 7 to set and decorate the tables, roll silverware, and other basic set up jobs. On Nov. 8, help is needed at 9:30 a.m. to slice bread, tray desserts and finalize set up. Volunteers are also needed that evening to help serve the dinner. Dinner servers are asked to arrive at 4:30 for their job assignment and name tag. Help with clean-up is also needed beginning at 7 p.m. To volunteer, call Debbie at 412-833-6357 by Nov. 4.
A community blood drive will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 5, at Spencer Family Y located at 305 Church Road in Bethel Park. The Board of Commissioners of the Township of Upper St. Clair will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5, in the Township Municipal Board of Commissioners Meeting Room, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road, Upper St. Clair.
The Friends of the Montour Trail in Bethel Park will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7, in the Caucus Room behind the Council Chambers in the Bethel Park Municipal Building.
