‘I Ought to be in Pictures’

Old Schoolhouse Players kicks off its 2019 season with Neil Simon’s “I Ought to be in Pictures.” The play opens Feb. 22 for a two-week run in the Bud Allison Memorial Auditorium at the Mt. Pleasant Twp. Community Center.
The three-person play revolves around Libby Tucker, who shows up at the West Hollywood home of her father, struggling screenwriter Herbert Tucker, who abandoned his New York family 16 years earlier. Using guilt and love, Libby convinces her father to face his parental responsibilities and come to terms with his girlfriend, Steffy.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. March 1-2, and at 3 p.m. March 3. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and students, and $10 for children 12 and under. Audience members are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the Washington County Farm Bureau’s annual food drive.
