Alumni sought

Westminster Nursery School at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, has been in operation for 60 years. What started out as a school with two staff members, two classrooms and 60 children has evolved to 22 staff members, 11 classrooms and more than 300 children. Alumni of the nursery school are asked to share stories and join in the celebration at WNSK.org.

AUP

The Association of University People is looking for single, four-year college graduates over 50 to participate in monthly dinners and social gatherings. Dinner auction

Our Lady of Grace Catholic School’s 20th Annual Dinner Auction will be held March 16 at the Hyatt Regency, Pittsburgh International Airport. Doors open at 6 p.m. with cocktail hour, silent auction and mobile bidding. Dinner and a live auction will follow at 7. The evening will include games, raffles and dancing. Cash/Prize Bash

Bethel Park Lions Club Cash and Prize Bash will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. March 9, at the Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Avenue. Tickets are $50 and include hors d’oeuvres, dinner and drinks. Annual prizes to be awarded according to the drawings held at the party. Additional $25 prizes are awarded each week based on the Pennsylvania lottery number drawn each Friday evening. There will also be a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, door prize and pull tab tickets. Kids mini-thon

Singing for Wishes Mini-Thon, a Make-A-Wish fundraiser organized by 11-year-old Olive Marie Sperber, will be held from 4 to 10 p.m. March 30, in the Home Economics Building in South Park. The event, for students in grades 5-8, will include dancing, sports, games, prizes and food. Proceeds from the mini-thon will be donated to Make-A-Wish Greater Pittsburgh and West Virginia Chapter. High school musical

Upper St. Clair High School’s Performing Arts Department will present “Hello, Dolly!” March 1-3 and March 7-9, in the school’s theatre. Directed by Larry Cervi, the curtain rises at 7:30 p.m. March 1, 2, 8 and 9. Family Night, with a 6:30 p.m. show time, is set for March 7, and a 2 p.m. matinee is offered on March 3. Tickets at $12 for adults and $5 for students are on sale now at www.usctheater.org. Adult ticket prices will increase to $15 starting March 1. The box office will open for in-person ticket sales starting on Feb. 18 during the following days/times: 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday and Saturday mornings, and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday evenings (one hour prior to showtime). Tickets for all shows can be picked up on any of the performance days. Admission for USC senior citizens is free with a USC Gold Card. Gold Card holders must obtain their free theater tickets in person at the box office.

Train event

South Hills Model Railroad Club’s (SHMRRC) Model Railroad Interactive Event, presented by Scott Township Public Library, will be held March 1 and 2 in the Community Room at Scott Township Park (above the pool building). Hours on Friday are from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday hours are noon to 5 p.m. Dr. Bob Cicco, a retired pediatrician and balloon artist, will be on hand to entertain the kids. There will be a raffle, prizes, snacks and train tattoos – all free.

Live theater

IRS Q&A

Peters Township Chamber of Commerce will offer “IRS Q&A – Know how the new tax laws affect your business” from 8 to 9 a.m. March 6, in the chamber’s Conference Center located at 1061 Waterdam Plaza, Suite 210, McMurray. High school musical

Bethel Park High School will stage the musical “Annie Get Your Gun” at 7:30 p.m. March 13-16, in the high school auditorium at 309 Church Road. All tickets are $10 and can be purchased with cash or check payable to: “Bethel Park School District.” Tickets will be on sale to the public between 9 and 11 a.m. March 4-12 in the Main Lobby of the high school. There will also be two evening sales-from 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 7 and 8, also in the Main Lobby. Tickets can also be purchased at the door on performance evenings. Senior citizens can receive half-price admission to the Wednesday and Thursday performances only. Celebrate Carnegie Borough’s 125th anniversary with a performance for the whole family. Chris Laitta’s TV Tunes takes place in the Music Hall at 7:30 p.m. March 1, the actual anniversary of Carnegie’s legal incorporation. Doors open at 6:30. The cabaret star will lead the audience in sing-alongs to classic American TV show theme songs. Pittsburgh bassist Paul Thompson will be joined by Joe Dominic on keyboard and Subha Das on drums. There will also be a chance to win prizes during the show. A dessert reception with the performers will follow.
