Religion: Week of March 10
At Bethel Presbyterian Church, a light supper will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, March 13-April 10. A study on significant events in the life of Christ will follow at 7:15.
• The Youth Group will sponsor a Mexican taco lunch fundraiser from noon to 2 p.m. March 17. Menu items will include walking tacos, baked potatoes, nachos, loaded nachos and tacos (soft or hard shell). Monies raised will help pay for the cost of their scheduled summer mission trip to Ohio.
At Christ United Methodist Church, Bethel Park, Created to Create: Women’s Retreat will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 23. Keynote speaker Jenny Randle and a variety of breakout session leaders will explore our divine creative calling. Rekindle an old creative hobby or experience something new that will allow you to use your creative talents to serve others. Worship and programming are appropriate for women of all ages. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Limited childcare is available on a first come, first served basis. Cost is $30. Registration is required online by March 18 at christumc.net/womensretreat.
At Church of the Atonement, Carnegie, healing services with a celebration of the Holy Eucharist are conducted at 6:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month.
At South Hills Assembly of God, Bethel Park, Alpha Course meets from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Fridays. A free dinner is provided, with DVD teaching and small group discussion to introduce the basics of Christianity. The course is for anyone who wants to learn more. Register on the church website.
GriefShare meets from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, through March 28, or from 10 a.m. to noon on Fridays, through March 29. This 10-week Bible-based support group consists of DVD teaching followed by time for discussion and sharing. Start anytime; return for any missed classes. Registration is $15 and includes a workbook.
