USC host families needed
The Thai-USA Student Cultural Exchange Program, now in its 14th year, is seeking host families for visiting Thai students from April 4-May 8, 2019.
During Upper St. Clair’s spring recess – from April 15-20 – Thai students will travel to Harrisburg, Lancaster and Washington, D.C.
Host families receive a complimentary check for $350 for each Thai student they host and the option of participating in field trips during weekends to downtown Pittsburgh, the Strip District, Nationality Classrooms at the University of Pittsburgh and shopping at the Grove City Outlets. In addition, each host family will receive two VIP tickets for the dinner at the Thai Night Gala.
Hosts do not need to have children at home or children in the high school. Most Thai students come from families with younger children and get along well with younger children. Upper St. Clair students enrolled in the IB program can receive community service hours for serving as a host family.
