Chili cookbook

Every winter since 2011, the Friends of Mt Lebanon Public Library group hosted the fundraising Brews for a Chili Night event. The chili and some of the cornbread are homemade and donated by library patrons and supporters.

With the 2021 event not occurring because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Friends sent a call out to their former chili chefs for recipes and then compiled them all into a booklet featuring 39 varieties of chili – from traditional to off-beat, meaty to vegan, mild to burn-the-tastebuds-off-your-tongue hot – and four cornbreads.

Cookbooks are $10 and all proceeds benefit the library. Purchase your cookbook at the Book Cellar’s shopify store at mt-lebanon-book-cellar.myshopify.com/products/chili.

Each week’s congregations will be informed of the prayer requests and asked to share the requests with congregation members who will keep the requests in prayer during the week.
