‘Secrets of the Bible’
Chabad of the South Hills in Mt. Lebanon will present “Secrets of the Bible: Iconic Stories, Mystical Meanings and Their Lessons For Life,” a new six-week course form the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute.
The program is scheduled from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sundays, Nov. 1 through Dec. 6, and 8 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 4 through Dec. 4. Participants can attend in person at the Chabad, 1701 McFarland Road, or via Zoom.

Arts and crafts show
The Upper St Clair League of Arts will present its annual arts and crafts show from Nov. 5-10 at the Upper St. Clair Activity Center, 1770 McLaughlin Run Road.
Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and Monday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday and Tuesday.
Social distancing and masks required. Part of the proceeds go toward an art scholarship for an Upper St. Clair student.
Veterans lunch
Bethel Park Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a veterans lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 6 at American Legion Post 760, 2417 Bethel Church Road, Bethel Park. The lunch is free for veterans and $20 for guests to attend. For more information, visit www.bpchamber.org or call 412-595-8361.
BP Turkey Trot
Bethel Park Recreation’s 2020 Thanksgiving “Turkey Trot 5K Run & Walk” is offering individuals of all ages the chance to participate in the annual event being held virtually this year.
Those who register can run their race between Nov. 8 and Nov. 30. Registration through Nov. 7 is $40 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under.
Each participant will receive a bib number, finisher certificate, finisher medal and T-shirt. Shirts and medals will be shipped the week of Nov. 30.

College Club meeting
The College Club of Carnegie will meet on Nov. 7 at Atria’s Restaurant, 4059 Washington Road, Peters Township. A social meeting at 11:30 a.m. will be followed by lunch at noon. South Hills Coin Club
The monthly meeting of the South Hills Coin Club will be held at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Bethel Park Municipal Building, 5100 W. Library Ave.

Veterans Day service
The Southwestern Pennsylvania Registered Nurses Club will hold its annual Veterans Day Memorial Service at noon Nov. 11 at the South Park nursing war memorials on Corrigan Drive. All military nurses will be remembered with a wreath placed at the monuments.
The program will include the Rev. Jon Brzek, retired U.S. Navy command chaplain; Clarence Hopson, deputy director of recreation for Allegheny County Parks; and bagpiper Bradley Wilson.
The public is welcome. Masks are required, and social distancing will be enforced.
