NATURE WEAVE
Children ages 6 to 10 can participate in a nature weaving activity sponsored by the Peters Township Parks and Recreation program.
The event will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. June 22
Participants explore Peterswood Park and search for supplies to create a one-of-kind piece of art made by nature.

THEATER SHOW
Washington Community Theatre Inc. is back under the stars for the first time since 2019.
“A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum.” will be featured at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, through Saturday, June 25, at the Washington Park Main Pavilion.

THEATER CAMPS
The Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department will offer to the following theater camps instructed by Lorra Brannen at the community recreation center:
• BFF Camp from 12:30 to 2:45 p.m. June 20-24 for ages 7 to 12. This hands-on camp features singing, dancing and acting with favorite friends such as Ariel, Flounder, Shrek and Donkey.
• Beastly Adventure Camp from 12:30 to 2:45 p.m. June 27 to July 1. Students will act and be exposed to the behind-the-scenes of theater. They will create simple costumes, set pieces and props.
Fee for either camp is $115 ($173 for non-members).

FLEA MARKET
The Church of the Atonement, 618 Washington Ave., Carnegie, will have a Flea Market on the Lawn from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 25. Vendors who want to sell their items are being sought. Those who wish to participate must bring their own table or blanket and chair.
To reserve a space for $10, call Joyce at 412-276-0366. The church also will be selling items including toys, kitchen items, sleeping bags, and indoor and outdoor plants.
TEA TIME
The Peters Township Historical Society will host a tea party at 11 a.m. July 9 at the Enoch Wright House located at 815 Venetia Rd.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m.
Tickets are $25 per person. Seating is limited.

DAYLILY SHOW
The Pittsburgh Iris and Daylily Society will host its annual daylily show July 2 at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel at the Meadowlands, 530 Racetrack Road, Washington.
Entries will be accepted from 8 to 10 a.m. It is not necessary to be a member of the Iris and Daylily Society to enter the show.
Judging will follow and all entries can be viewed by the general public for free from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the junior ballroom.
In addition to the show, the society will hold a plant sale.

SUMMER CAMPS
Playground Pals for ages 4 to 6 will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Elm Grove Park Shelter located at 250 Thompsonville Rd. in McMurray.
Week one is on Aug. 1, 3 and 5 is themed It’s A Small World. Week two begins Aug. 8 and features the Wild West. Week three begins Aug. 15 and is themed Shipwrecked.
Summer day camps for ages 7 to 11 will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday at Shelter 4 in Peterswood Park.
Beach Week begins July 11. Blast From The Past starts July 18. Out Of This World begins July 25.
Fee is $35 ($53 for non-members) per week per child.
Participants can register for one week or all three sessions.

A farmers market voucher distribution will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. July 8 at the Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department at 700 Meredith Dr.
Those 60 and older with income of $25,142 or less for one and $33,874 or less for two are eligible.

LA ROCHE LEARNING
La Roche University’s Center for Lifelong Learning invites adults 50 and older to explore upcoming courses at a Summer Preview to be held at 11 a.m June 22 in the Palumbo Science Center, Room 101.
Guests will learn about the various noncredit, short-term courses as part of Adventures in Lifelong Learning (ALL), a membership-based program for retirement-aged individuals.
