PICKLEBALL

The Peters Township Community Recreation Center offers open play in pickleball from 2 to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. All levels of play are welcome. Fees range from $27 to $67 depending on six-day and 12-day attendance as well as membership.

TWEEN NIGHT

An evening of socializing, games, crafts and music is in store for ages 9 to 12 on Nov. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Peters Township Community Recreation Center. Fee is $5 ($8 non-members).

LEAF LIGHT

The Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department will offers leaf luminaries from 2 to 3 p.m. Nov. 23 at the community center. HOLIDAY ART

Creative children, ages 6 to 10, can attend a mixed medium holiday art class from 2 to 3:15 p.m. Nov. 28 at the Peters Township Community Recreation Center. Participants will use watercolors and pastels to craft a piece of art. Fee is $5 ($8 non-members).

BATH BOMBS

Ages 13 to 17 can learn how to make holiday bath bombs for gifts or keepsakes from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Peters Township Community Recreation Center. Fee is $10 ($15 non-members).

HARMONY SINGERS

The Harmony Singers of Pittsburgh will present a holiday concert, “Sing of a Merry Christmas,” under the direction of Cynthia G. Pratt at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at Brightwood Christian Church at 5044 West Library Ave. in Bethel Park.

In addition to favorite carols and holiday music, featured selections include “Christmas Is Coming,” “Sing This Night with Joy” and “What will Santa Claus Say?”

Admission is free but a free-will offering will be accepted and benefits the charitable and entertainment efforts of the group.

The Harmony Singers are available to perform for civic, social, church, or business organizations.

BWC MEETING

The Bethel Woman’s Club will meet on Nov. 16 at the South Hills Elks Lodge 2213, located at 2789 South Park Road. Bonnie Filyo, a member of the Elks Lodge, will discuss the lodge’s activities that support the local veteran community. Activities begin with a social at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is served at noon. VESPERS

Old Saint Luke’s Church will host its annual Thanksgiving vesper service at 4 p.m. Nov. 20. The Rev. Scott Quinn presides in this interfaith worship and memorial service. Jeffrey H. Gray, organist from St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carnegie, leads the hymns and songs from the 1823 Harvey pipe organ.

BP LIBRARY

A gingerbread workshop will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Bethel Park Library. Participants should bring a can of icing or bag of candy to share for decorating. All other materials will be provided. All ages can participate. No registration required.

CHABAD LUNCH

A Chanukah seniors luncheon will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 21 at Chabad of the South Hills, located at 1701 McFarland Rd. in Mt. Lebanon. In addition to the holiday program, there will be hot latkes and raffle prizes. Suggested donation is $5. The event is wheelchair accessible. TURKEY TIME

Preschool children, ages 3 to 5, can participate in Thanksgiving activities during Turkey Time. NURSES CLUB

The Southwestern Registered Nurses Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 15 at Hamilton Presbyterian Church in Bethel Park. Scott A. Yeager, Outreach Manager, will discuss the Pennsylvania Health Insurance Exchange. All registered nurses can attend.

CRAFT SHOW

The Labouré Ladies Guild of St. Catherine Labouré Parish will hold its annual “Joy of Christmas” Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at St. Louise de Marillac School and LeGras Parish Center, 320 McMurray Road in Upper St. Clair. There will be 115 artists and crafters as well as a Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle. Lunch and snacks will be available for purchase. Admission is $2 and includes one ticket for the Chinese auction.

KIDS REC

The Peters Township Community Center will be open from 10:30 a.m. to noon Nov. 23 for recreation for ages 6 to 10. Fee is $5 ($8 non-members). Children should bring a water bottle labeled with their name and wear gym shoes. Visit www.peterstownship.com or call 724-942-5000 to register.

OGLEBAY TRIP

The Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department is offering a one-day bus trip to Oglebay on Dec. 8. The bus departs at 12:30 p.m. and returns to the community center at 10 p.m. Tourists will visit the Wheeling Glass Museum, take a self-guided tour of the Mansion Museum, shop at the stores at The Hilltop, dine at the Wilson Lodge, then take a guided tour of the Festival of Lights. AARP MEETS

The AARP Chapter 3016 meets every second Thursday of the month at Unity Presbyterian Church located at 1146 Greentree Road. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served. WEIGHT LOSS
