OGLEBAY TRIP
The Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department is offering a one-day bus trip to Oglebay on Dec. 8. The bus departs at 12:30 p.m. and returns to the community center at 10 p.m. Tourists will visit the Wheeling Glass Museum, take a self-guided tour of the Mansion Museum, shop at the stores at The Hilltop, dine at the Wilson Lodge, then take a guided tour of the Festival of Lights. SUGARPLUM SHOP
The Upper St Clair League for the Arts will operate its Sugarplum Shop and Art Gallery from Nov. 10 to 15 at its activity center located at 1770 McLaughlin Run Road. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday as well as 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday and Tuesday.
Arts and crafts designed by local artists, pottery, stained glass, fiber art, fused glass and painted gourds will be among the items offered for purchase along with hand-carved saints, polymer clay, homemade soaps, jewelry, wreaths, pillows, centerpieces, purses, covered notebooks and greeting cards. An extensive gallery featuring paintings of all mediums, prints and photography will be on display.
CRAFT SHOW
The St. Raphael the Archangel Holiday Craft Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 12 at SS. Simon & Jude, 1625 Green Tree Road in Scott Township. There will be 65 tables of crafts, a Chinese Auction, a bake sale and lunch available for purchase. Admission is free.
JEWELRY SALE
Operation Troop Appreciation (OTA) presents its 10th annual “gently used costume jewelry sale” from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 11 and 12 at the South Park Municipal Complex, located at 2675 Brownsville Road. All items are priced between $1 and $5.
Necklaces, bracelets, rings, vintage pins, holiday pins, cufflinks and tie clips are among the items for sale. Available for purchase also are scarves, scarf jewelry and children’s items. There will also be auction items and raffle baskets. Proceeds support deployed troops and displaced veterans.

The Southwestern Pennsylvania R.N. Club will hold its 30th annual Veterans Day program at noon Nov. 11 at the South Park Nurses War Monument on Corrigan Drive. All military nurses will be honored and a wreath will be placed at the monument. The public can attend.

CRAFT SHOW
The Labouré Ladies Guild of St. Catherine Labouré Parish will hold its annual “Joy of Christmas” Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at St. Louise de Marillac School and LeGras Parish Center, 320 McMurray Road in Upper St. Clair. There will be 115 artists and crafters as well as a Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle. Lunch and snacks will be available for purchase. Admission is $2 and includes one ticket for the Chinese auction.
AARP MEETS
The AARP Chapter 3016 meets every second Thursday of the month at Unity Presbyterian Church located at 1146 Greentree Road. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served.
