BP PLAY

Bethel Park will stage “The Last Christmas Show,” at 7 p.m. Nov. 10-12 in the high school auditorium. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door. Call 412-854-8514 for handicap-accessible seating or for more questions.

FLAPJACK FUN

The BSA Troop 2 will hold its annual pancake and sausage feast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Bethany Presbyterian Church, located at 740 Washington Ave. in Bridgeville. Tickets are $6 for adults.

WAC EVENT

The Women’s Army Corps Veterans’ Association — Army Women United will be meet at 11 a.m. Nov. 12 at Soldiers and Sailors Hall, 4141 Fifth Ave. in Oakland. The group will participate in the parade on Nov. 11. The meeting concerns preparations for the Holiday Family Adoption Program as well as the holiday luncheon in December. BWC MEETING

The Bethel Woman’s Club will meet on Nov. 16 at the South Hills Elks Lodge 2213, located at 2789 South Park Road. Bonnie Filyo, a member of the Elks Lodge, will discuss the lodge’s activities that support the local veteran community. Activities begin with a social at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is served at noon. VESPERS

Old Saint Luke’s Church will host its annual Thanksgiving vesper service at 4 p.m. Nov. 20. The Rev. Scott Quinn presides in this interfaith worship and memorial service. Jeffrey H. Gray, organist from St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carnegie, leads the hymns and songs from the 1823 Harvey pipe organ.

BP LIBRARY

A gingerbread workshop will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Bethel Park Library. Participants should bring a can of icing or bag of candy to share for decorating. All other materials will be provided. All ages can participate. No registration required.

HOLIDAY MARKET

Carnegie will host a holiday farmers market from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 20 on East Main Street between Mary and Broadway. In addition to produce, there will be assorted beverages, flowers, jewelry, preserves, art, baked goods, candles, pet food and accessories, essential oils, pierogi, hummus, mosaics, soaps and empanadas. CARNEGIE LIGHTS

CHABAD LUNCH

A Chanukah seniors luncheon will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 21 at Chabad of the South Hills, located at 1701 McFarland Rd. in Mt. Lebanon. RAWC MEET

The Ruthfred Acres Woman’s Club (RAWC) will meet at noon Nov. 8 at the Crowne Plaza Suites.

Author Joanne Niehl will discuss her book, “Pittsburgh on Your Plate.” The cookbook is filled with 175 recipes and stories that define the city, its people, and its culture. The book includes a special Pittsburgh cookie table section featuring 30 of her favorites.

SPWC MEET

The South Hills Women’s Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Scott Park Lodge in Scott Township. A collection of non-perishable food or monetary donations will be accepted for the Greater Pittsburgh Area Food Bank, and Ed Blank will be the feature presenter. CRAFT SHOW

The St. Raphael the Archangel Holiday Craft Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 12 at SS. Simon & Jude, 1625 Green Tree Road in Scott Township. There will be 65 tables of crafts, a Chinese Auction, a bake sale and lunch available for purchase. Admission is free.

PYSO CONCERT

The Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra opens with a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at Heinz Hall. The program includes Dvorák’s Symphony No. 8, selections from Suite No. 2 of Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet Orchestral Suites Op. 64, British-West African composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Ballade for Orchestra Op. 33, and Jimmy López Bellido’s Techno. NURSES CLUB

The Southwestern Registered Nurses Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 15 at Hamilton Presbyterian Church in Bethel Park. Scott A. Yeager, Outreach Manager, will discuss the Pennsylvania Health Insurance Exchange. All registered nurses can attend.

CRAFT SHOW

The Labouré Ladies Guild of St. Catherine Labouré Parish will hold its annual “Joy of Christmas” Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at St. Louise de Marillac School and LeGras Parish Center, 320 McMurray Road in Upper St. Clair. There will be 115 artists and crafters as well as a Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle. Lunch and snacks will be available for purchase. Admission is $2 and includes one ticket for the Chinese auction.

KIDS REC

OGLEBAY TRIP

The Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department is offering a one-day bus trip to Oglebay on Dec. 8. The bus departs at 12:30 p.m. and returns to the community center at 10 p.m. Tourists will visit the Wheeling Glass Museum, take a self-guided tour of the Mansion Museum, shop at the stores at The Hilltop, dine at the Wilson Lodge, then take a guided tour of the Festival of Lights. AARP MEETS

The AARP Chapter 3016 meets every second Thursday of the month at Unity Presbyterian Church located at 1146 Greentree Road. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served.
