GIRLS SCOUTS
Registration is being held in the Girls Scouts Western Pennsylvania organization. Girls entering kindergarten through 12th grade as well as adults can join. New members can purchase an extended-year membership at a discounted price of $35, which will cover the remainder of this year’s membership as well as 2024. These members can join existing troops or start a new troop.

SNOW WHITE
The classic children’s ballet Snow White will be performed at 7 p.m. April 28 and 2 p.m. April 30 at the Andrew Carnegie Music Hall, located at 300 Beechwood Avenue in Carnegie. Allison Platt of Carnegie portrays young Snow White while Anna Wilcox of Scott Township will dance the role of Snow White at age 16. The part of the evil queen will be portrayed by Shelby Self, who is a senior at Seton La Salle. Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for students and seniors. KIDS CHOIR
The South Hills Children’s Choir will celebrate 10 seasons of song with a celebratory concert at 5:30 p.m. May 6 at Faith Lutheran Church in Upper St. Clair. Music by G.P. Telemann, Brahms, Mozart, Kabalevsky, and Barber will be featured. The event will also include food, games, live auction, and raffle baskets. JEWISH FAITH

JAZZ FEST

PLANT SALE
The Treehaven Garden Club will hold a plant sale from 8 a.m. to noon May 13 at the South Park Shops (in front of Rite Aid), 5209 Library Road in Bethel Park. Hanging flower baskets, potted perennials and bulbs will be available for purchase.
GARDEN MART
The Giant Oaks Garden Club’s annual plant sale and garden market will be held from 9 a.m. to noon May 20 at the Peters Township Public Library, located on East McMurray Road. In addition to a variety of potted perennial plants, herbs, vegetables, annuals and hanging baskets will be available for purchase. There will also be raffle baskets with gardening items as well as club members, many of whom are Master Gardeners, available to assist and answer questions. FLEA MARKET
The Church of the Atonement, 618 Washington Ave. Carnegie, will hold a flea market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 21 and 22. On April 22, the market closes for lunch and re-opens for the bag sale at 1 p.m. There will be a variety of items from kitchen items, bedding, linens, decorations, clothing particularly women’s larger sizes, prom gowns, shoes and porcelain dolls. STAR PARTY
Search the night sky for stars, planets, galaxies and nebula from 8:30 to 10 p.m. April 21 at the Peters Township Library. After learning about constellations and the Milky Way, participants will go outside to view the stars through telescopes. All ages are welcome but those 15 and under should be accompanied by an adult.
PANCAKE BRUNCH
Dormont AARP No. 3016 will hold a Pancake and Sausage Brunch from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 22, at Unity Presbyterian Church, 1146 Greentree Road at Potomac Avenue. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10 for all you can eat pancakes. A bake, book and card sale will also be offered.
ATTIC SALE
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mt. Lebanon will host an attic treasures sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 22 at 1066 Washington Road. Items for sale include jewelry, purses, art, housewares, toys and small furniture as well as baked goods. No early birds or resale. SMOOTH JAZZ

The Peters Township Recreation Department is offering the following programs at the community center, located on Meredith Drive in McMurray:
n Earth Day Wind Chimes from 6 to 7 p.m. April 19 for ages 13-17. Participants celebrate Earth Day by making colorful, beaded wind chimes. All supplies are provided. Fee is $5 ($8 non-members).
n Parking lot bingo from noon to 2 p.m. April 20 for senior citizens. Participants play from their cars and honk their horn when they get bingo. They can bring snacks and drinks to this free event.
n Feathers and Fur, part of the Homeschool Explorers program, event is for ages 6 to 10 and will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. April 28. Participants will learn about birds and mammals and explore their environment. Fee is $5 ($8 non-members).
n Rainbow Wind Catchers will be created by ages 6 to 10 from 2 to 3 p.m. April 13 at the community center. Fee is $5 ($8 non-members).
