CAMERA CLUB
The Western Pennsylvania Lensshooters Camera Club will be hosting a “4 corner shoot” at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 11 in the Peters Township Public Library. The club will have four different setups to photograph. Club members will be on hand to explain proper lighting, creative camera angles and proper exposure. PT LIBRARY
The Peters Township Public Library will offer Flipster for Digital Magazines from 11 a.m. to noon Jan. 9. Ages 18 and over will learn how to access and enjoy free magazines. Online Genealogy is also available from 11 a.m. to noon Jan. 30. Participants can learn more about using Ancestry Library, Heritage Quest and Family Search in the library at the patron computers located on the second floor. BP LIBRARY
The Bethel Park Public Library offers the following:
• Math Lab from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 12 and 26. All levels of fifth- and sixth-grade math, pre-algebra, algebra 1 and geometry will be reviewed.
• Shape UP at 10 a.m. Jan. 23 for ages 3 to 6 with a caregiver. This preschool storytime event is all about shapes.
• Personalizing Your Laptop at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 17. This free, beginner’s class will cover the task bar, toolbars and folders.
• Talk Saves Lives at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 26. This American Foundation for Suicide Prevention talk provides an overview about prevention, including the most up-to-date research, and what can be done in communities to save lives. Participants learn common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide, and how to keep themselves and others safe.

WOOD WORK
The Peters Township Recreation Center will conduct a ladies night event where participants create a rustic, one-of-a-kind heart wood frame. Ages 18 and over can attend the craft-making session to be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Jan. 11 in the multipurpose room of the community center. Fee is $10 ($15 for non-members). TWEEN NIGHT

WACVA MEET
The Women’s Army Corps Veterans’ Association — Army Women United will meet at 11 a.m. Jan. 14 at Soldiers and Sailors Hall in Oakland. SNOW BABIES

SHWC MEET

KIDS THEATRE
Auditions for Cinderella will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Jan. 14 at the Carnegie Performing Arts Center, located at 500 Chestnut St. Ages 5 to 18 are eligible. Performances will be held at the Andrew Carnegie Music Hall in Carnegie in February. Rehearsals will take place on Saturday afternoons.

BWC TO MEET

Registration for the Peters Township Commit To Fit Challenge is being accepted at the community recreation center or at www.peterstownship.com. The event runs from Feb. 1 to 28. There is no fee for all Peters Township Recreation Center members. Participants walk along the indoor track and document their miles. The walker with the most miles wins a prize. TEEN SOCIAL
The Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department will hold a teen volunteer and social from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 31 at the community center. Ages 13 to 17 can attend and learn about working behind the scenes and helping to prep for an upcoming event. Participants can earn community service hours, learn new skills and socialize with peers.
