ICE CREAM SOCIAL

The fifth annual Ice Cream For Breakfast Social will be held from 9 a.m. to noon July 29 at Sarris Candies located at 511 Adams Ave. in Canonsburg. Proceeds benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Keystone Chapter.

Additionally, throughout July, which is National Ice Cream Month, customers can enjoy a dollar off any of the pre-packed half gallons in the ice cream parlor’s cooler.

HOOP CAMP

The Dan Burt Youth Basketball Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 29 to Aug. 1 at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse on the Duquesne University campus. Fee is $275 and includes jersey and basketball. Team discounts are available. Visit goduquesne.com/wbbcamp for more details.

BLUEBERRY CAMP

The Blueberry Kitchen Kids Cooking mini camp will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 1-3 at the Peters Township recreation center. Fee is $120 ($180 for nonmembers). CHABAD BBQ

The Chabad of the South Hills will hold its annual summer barbecue at 5 p.m. July 30 at the Walnut Pavilion in Scott Park. CAR SHOW

The Steel Town Corvette Club’s 42nd annual All-Chevy Show will be held July 30 at the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department, located at 370 Commercial Dr. Sponsored by Colossi Chevrolet, the event begins at 9 a.m. with registration and ends with the trophy presentation at 2:30 p.m. Judging is held between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Advance registration is $15 by July 23 but $20 the day of the show. Spectator admission is free. There will be T-shirts given away to the top 150 entrants, 50/50 raffle, dash plaques, goodie bags, Chinese auction and door prize, plus food, refreshments and a DJ. PT SENIORS

OPEN HOUSE

The Carnegie Performing Arts Center will hold an open house from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Aug. 12 at its studio located at 500 Chestnut St. in Carnegie. Sample dance class will be offered at 1:30 p.m. for ages 2 to 4, at 2 p.m. fairytale characters visit, and dance classes will be offered at 2:30 p.m. for ages 5 to 7. At 3 p.m., there will be a student performance and at 3:30 p.m., a sample dance class for ages 8 to 10.
