PCHC TOURS
Docents from the Peters Creek Historical Society will host tours of the historic Enoch Wright House, 815 Venetia Road, Venetia, from 2 to 4 p.m. July 9 and 6 to 8 p.m. July 11. The public can learn about this local landmark that dates back to 1815 and the pioneer Wright family that settled in the area as early as 1764.

The Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department will distribute farmers market vouchers from 1 to 3 p.m. July 13 to ages 60 and older. To be eligible an individual must have an income of $26,973 or less; $36,482 or less for two people and $45,991 for three people or less. Individuals must be Washington County residents. DAY LILY SHOW
The Pittsburgh Iris and Daylily Society’s 52nd annual Daylily Show will be held July 15 at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel at the Meadowlands, 530 Racetrack Road. Entries will be accepted from 8 until 10 a.m. It is not necessary to be a member of the society to enter. BIRD WALK

Fizz Boom Bang will be the topic of the Mad Science Camp being held from 1 to 4 p.m. July 17-21 at the Peters Township Recreation Center, located on Meredith Drive in Venetia. Ages 4 to 6 are eligible. Fee is $186 ($279 nonmembers). Red Hot Robots will be featured from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 7-11 at the Venetia Heritage Society. Ages 5-12 eligible. Fee is $229 ($343 nonmembers).

CHABAD
The Chabad of South Hills in Mt. Lebanon will explore the Hebrew month of AV-Year of Hakhel during Rosh Chodesh at 11:30 a.m. July 19. Fee is $15. Also, a ladies night out will be held at 7:30 p.m. July 25. Participants design their own board using wood-burning techniques and enjoy a fruit smoothie bar. Fee is $20. CAR SHOW
The Steel Town Corvette Club’s 42nd annual All-Chevy Show will be held July 30 at the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department, located at 370 Commercial Dr. Sponsored by Colossi Chevrolet, the event begins at 9 a.m. with registration and ends with the trophy presentation at 2:30 p.m. Judging is held between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Advance registration is $15 by July 23 but $20 the day of the show. Spectator admission is free. There will be T-shirts given away to the top 150 entrants, 50/50 raffle, dash plaques, goodie bags, Chinese auction and door prize, plus food, refreshments and a DJ. The third annual Always B Smiling 5K will be held July 23 on the Montour Trail in Peters Township, near the TAR Outdoor Storage. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the race starting at 9:15.
