PCHC TOURS

Docents from the Peters Creek Historical Society will host tours of the historic Enoch Wright House, 815 Venetia Road, Venetia, from 2 to 4 p.m. July 9 and 6 to 8 p.m. July 11. The public can learn about this local landmark that dates back to 1815 and the pioneer Wright family that settled in the area as early as 1764.

DAY LILY SHOW

The Pittsburgh Iris and Daylily Society’s 52nd annual Daylily Show will be held July 15 at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel at the Meadowlands, 530 Racetrack Road. Entries will be accepted from 8 until 10 a.m. It is not necessary to be a member of the society to enter. The Chabad of South Hills in Mt. Lebanon will explore the Hebrew month of AV-Year of Hakhel during Rosh Chodesh at 11:30 a.m. July 19. Fee is $15. CAR SHOW

The Steel Town Corvette Club’s 42nd annual All-Chevy Show will be held July 30 at the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department, located at 370 Commercial Dr. Sponsored by Colossi Chevrolet, the event begins at 9 a.m. with registration and ends with the trophy presentation at 2:30 p.m. Judging is held between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Advance registration is $15 by July 23 but $20 the day of the show.
