RECYLING
Bethel Park will conduct a metal recycling event from 9 a.m. to noon March 25 at George Washington Elementary School, located at 515 Clifton Road. Cans, holiday lights, USB cables, power cords, pipes, metal siding and scrap metal will be accepted but not propane tanks, TVs, electronics, paint, chemical or gas cans.
Carnegie will hold a glass recycling event from 9 to 11 a.m. March 25 at the borough building, located at 1 Veterans Way. Bottles, clear, green and brown with corks removed, as well as jars with lids, are eligible. Cardboard boxes, plastic bags, plastic containers, china, Pyrex, antique vases, glass bakeware, mirrors and windows will not be accepted.
CHABAD
Chabad of the South Hills will host explore the exodus from Egypt and its relevance today at 7:30 p.m. March 27. During the event participants will be able to taste international Passover dishes and take home the recipes. Email batya@chabadsh.com to RSVP. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mt. Lebanon will host an attic treasures sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 22 at 1066 Washington Road. Items for sale include jewelry, purses, art, housewares, toys and small furniture as well as baked goods. No early birds or resale. CCC MEETS
The College Club of Carnegie will meet April 1, at Bella’s on Fort Couch (formerly DeLallo’s Restaurant), 91 Fort Couch Road. The Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department is offering the following events this month:
n Instagram 101 for ages 55 and over from 10 to 11:30 a.m. March 21. Participants learn the ins and outs of the app. They should bring phone, computer or tablet for assistance. Fee is $5 ($8 non-members).
n Signs of Spring for ages 6-10 from 2 to 3:15 p.m. March 23. Participants explore Peterswood Park to observe signs of the season. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The inclusive program is offered for home school and cyberschool students. Fee is $5 ($8 non-members).
n Teen DIY Sugar Scrub for ages 13-17, from 7 to 8 p.m. March 22. Teens make their own personal sugar scrub to help exfoliate skin after the cold winter months. Fee is $10 ($15 non-members).
n Flower Power for ages 6-10 from 10 to 11 a.m. March 25. Participants create floral crafts out of bubbles and tissue paper. Fee is $5 ($10 non-members).
n Easter Bath Bombs for ages 18 and over from 6 to 7:15 p.m. March 21. Fee is $10 ($15 non-members).

Sunnyhill Church, located on Washington Road in Mt. Lebanon, will present Todo Tango at 7:30 p.m. March 24.
