PT SOCIAL

Peters Township will hold a teen volunteer and social from 6 to 8 p.m. March 28 at the recreation center, located at 700 Meredith Dr. Ages 13 to 17 are eligible. Participants work behind the scenes and help prep for upcoming events as well as learn new skills, qualify for community service hours and socialize with peers. AUP MEETS

The Association of University People (AUP) is open to singles, age 50 and older, who are four-year college graduates. The group will meet for dinner at Atria’s on Beverly Road in Mt. ECO EXPLORE

The Eco Explorers program is coming to the Peters Township Recreation Center. The sessions are held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursdays in April. Ages 6-12 can participate. Fee is $84 ($126 non-members). Participants design creative solutions to science challenges, solve mysteries, create chemical concoctions and build eco inventions. MYSTIC FAIR

A Mystical Psychic Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 1 at the Library Fire Hall in South Park. Admission is $5. The first 50 arrivals receive a mystery bag. The Peters Township Library is offering the following:

n NEA Big Read Kickoff from noon to 2 p.m. April 1. There will be demonstrations by the Washington County Spinners and Weavers Guild, free copies of Circe, partner read with Aru Shan and the End of Time, art projects and a visit from the Hummus Pittsburgh food truck. The event is part of the library’s NEA Big Read of Circe. The NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.

n End Game Chess Club meets the second Wednesday of the month throughout the year. Former chess champion and grandmaster Pete Vuljanic offers chess instructions for ages 18 and older who understand how to play and move each piece. n Parthenon Tour will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. April 11. Learn about Athena and other Greek Gods. Participate in person or via a virtual link at home. School-age children through adults can participate. Registration is required.

HOLY CHILD

Divine Mercy Sunday will be celebrated April 16 at Holy Child Church, part of Corpus Christi Parish, 212 Station St., Bridgeville. A holy hour with prayers, procession with the Blessed Sacrament, and benediction will begin at noon following the 11 a.m. Mass.

PT REC

The Peters Township Recreation Department is offering the following programs:

n Yarn Squiggle Easter Egg Art on March 27 from 2 to 3:15 p.m. at the community center located on Meredith Drive. Ages 6-10 will use yarn, glue and paint to create Easter eggs. Supplies will be provided. Fee is $5 ($8 non-members).

n Flashlight Egg Hunt on April 6 on Grasshopper Field in Peterswood Park. Ages 9-12 meet at 8 p.m. Ages 13-17 compete at 8:30 p.m. Participants should bring a basket or bag as well as a flashlight.

n Rainbow Wind Catchers will be created by ages 6 to 10 from 2 to 3 p.m. April 13 at the community center. Fee is $5 ($8 non-members).

CKIDS EVENT

The CKids Jewish Discovery Club will present a pre-passover wood workshop at 2:30 p.m. April 2 at Home Depot, 4000 Oxford Dr. in Bethel Park. Participants will create their own Seder plate. In addition to raffles and prizes, there will be Passover songs and games. Fee is $10.

CHABAD

Chabad of the South Hills will host a community Passover Seder at 7:30 p.m. April 5 in Mt. Lebanon. Admission is $65 per adult and $25 per child. Visit www.chabadsh.com for more information.

ART SHOW

The Galleria Mall in Mt. Lebanon will host a spring art show from April 14-23. Works will be displayed throughout the first floor. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. The Bethel Park Art League, McMurray Art League, Photo Section, Primary Colors, South Arts Pittsburgh, Upper Saint Clair, and Whitehall will participate. COIN CLUB

The South Hills Coin Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. April 11 at the Bethel Park municipal building, located at 5100 West Library Ave. All members and the general public can attend. The history of Atlantic Canadian provinces through coins will be discussed. A 50/50 will held and children’s prizes will be awarded. Applications are being accepted for membership. PANCAKE BRUNCH

Dormont AARP No. 3016 will hold a Pancake and Sausage Brunch from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 22, at Unity Presbyterian Church, 1146 Greentree Road at Potomac Avenue. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10 for all you can eat pancakes. A bake, book and card sale will also be offered.

FLEA MARKET

The Bower Hill Community Church will hold its spring flea market from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 1 at 70 Moffett St. in Mt. Lebanon. CCC MEETS

The College Club of Carnegie will meet April 1, at Bella’s on Fort Couch (formerly DeLallo’s Restaurant), 91 Fort Couch Road. A social will be held at 11:30 a.m. with lunch served at noon. “Pennsylvania Trivia” will be the theme and there will be a Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle to benefit the scholarship fund. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mt. Lebanon will host an attic treasures sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 22 at 1066 Washington Road. 5K BENEFIT

The 16th annual Carnegie Volunteer Fire and Rescue Bureau’s 5K run and walk will be held at 8 a.m. April 29 beginning at the borough building at 1 Veterans Way. SUMMER CAMP

Counselors are needed for the Peters Township summer day camp, scheduled for the weeks of July 10 through Aug. 14. Hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Counselors works approximately 12-20 hours per week for a pay rate of $10.50 per hour.
