ANIMAL BLESSING

AUTOS & MORE
The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum will host its annual Anything on Wheels event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 3 and 4. Visitors can see dozens of vehicles from antique and classic cars to buses and boats. The Hott Dawgz food truck and a historic parade of trolleys will highlight events on Saturday while the Ohio Valley Community Band, games for children and a layout from the Pittsburgh Garden Railway Society are featured on Sunday. SLIME LAB
The Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department will hold a creative program for children titled, “Slime Lab,” from 6 to 7:15 p.m. June 6. Participants will experiment with different ingredients and additives to make messy, slimy creations. Fee is $5 ($8 nonmembers).
Other programs this month include:
n Dog Walk Social from 6 to 7 p.m. in Peterswood Park for ages 18 and under. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and follow park rules. Fee is $2 ($5 nonmembers).
n Touch-A-Truck from 10 a.m. to noon July 8 in Peterswood Park, at top of hill near grasshopper field. This is a free event.
n Under the Sea from 2 to 3 p.m. June 8. Ages 3-5 will play seaweed games and enjoy a seashell craft. Fee is $5 ($8 nonmembers).
n Friday Night Flicks beginning at dusk at the Peterswood Park amphitheater. Features are: “The Mighty Ducks” on June 9; “Minions” on July 14; “Top Gun” on July 28; “Puss In Boots” on Aug. 11; “Cruella” on Sept. 8, and the double-feature of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Friday The 13th” on Oct. 13.

CLOTHING DRIVE
The Salvation Army in partnership with the Mt. Lebanon Police Association will conduct a clothing drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 3 in the parking lot of Southminster Presbyterian Church located on Washington Road next to the library. Volunteers will collect clothing and shoes for grades K-12 in all sizes and genders. Items will be distributed in August to those in need prior to the start of the new school year. CHAMBER BOWL
The seventh annual Peters Township Chamber of Commerce’s “Fun”raiser bowling event will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. June 1 at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino, located at 210 Racetrack Road. Tickets are $100 per bowler or $500 for a team of six. Email amy@ptcoc.org or call 724-941-6345 for tickets.
COLLEGE CLUB
The College Club of Carnegie will meet on June 3 at Houlihan’s Restaurant in the Galleria, Mt Lebanon. A social starts at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is served at noon. SH CHOIR
Auditions will be held June 1-3 for the South Hills Children’s Choir. Ages 11-18 can sign up at shcchoir.org online or times can be arranged by calling 724-949-0048 or emailing office@shcchoir.org to set up times. Ages 8-10 need no audition but must register.
BAD ART
The Peters Township Library will host a bad art night from 6 to 7 p.m. June 6. The library will provide all supplies. Participants will create the worst piece of art but they can bring photos, printouts, magazines for collages, etc. Adults should accompany children in grades 4 and under. Registration is required. PT SENIORS
The Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department offers the following activities for senior citizens:
n Picnic on June 14 featuring Matt Tichon. Hot dogs and hamburgers are provided but guests should bring a covered dish or dessert to share.
n Music Mornings at 10 a.m. at the outdoor amphitheater in Peterswood Park. Senior citizens enjoy light breakfast options as they listen to Tim & Stacy on June 29; Dr. Zoot Duo on July 27 and The Keystone Chorus on Aug. 31.

LEGOS CAMP
A Legos Camp will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. June 12 to 16 at the Peters Township Recreation Center. Ages 6 to 12 can participate and will design mazes, robots, cars and buildings. SAFE DRIVING
A senior citizen driver improvement course will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 15 at the Upper St. Clair recreation department. The state Department of Transportation-approved class is designed for drivers age 55 and older. There is no testing or behind-the-wheel driving. It is a refresher of driving skills and knowledge of the rules of the road. Participants receive a multi-year discount on auto insurance.
