LEBO HALL

The Mt. Lebanon Hall of Champions celebration will be held Oct. 28 at the St. Clair Country Club. Activities start at 7 p.m.

This year’s distinguished Blue Devils are George Lamprinakos, Tom Bluemling, Alan Walker, Jack Sullivan, Jim Fleming, Molly Bushman Higgins, Tom Steffora and Jay Styperk as well as the 1986 WPIAL championship girls soccer team.

Hall of Champions individual inductees are David Shields, Logan St. John Kletter, Caroline Adams, Melia Peer, Sophia Cunningham, Sylvie Eriksen, Sylvia Roy, Andrei Tudorascu, Bill Stilley, Sangay Lama, and Chase Dusevich, Mile Halter, Sam Myers, Addie Murdoch, Deirdre Flaherty, Brooke Boehmer, Tim Calvetti, Rocky Fennell, Matt Nguyen, and Connor Rychcik.

Team inductees include the WPIAL championship clubs for girls tennis, boys lacrosse and baseball.

CRAFT SHOW

The John McMillan Presbyterian Church’s annual Christmas affair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 4 at 875 Clifton Road in Bethel Park. More than 45 crafters will be featured along with a gingerbread house, auction items and a Kris Kringle Kafe. Admission is free. All proceeds benefit local and worldwide missions. SEWING

The Sewing Corner group will meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Peters Township Library, located on East McMurray Road. Participants work on sewing, embroidery, quilting and felting projects. All skill levels can attend.

FISH FRY

HARVEST FUN

DEMENTIA

SHWC MEET

The South Hills Women’s Club will meet at 8 p.m. Nov. 13 at Vanadium Woods Lobby, located on Vanadium Road in Bridgeville. Ruth Siedle Gentile, will speak about the pipe organ. VETS EVENT

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Registered Nurses Club will hold its Veterans Day Memorial Program at noon Nov. 11 at the Nurses War Memorial Monuments on Corrigan Drive in South Park. All military nurses will be honored and a wreath will be placed at the monuments. VFW Post 6664, Library, will also participate to honor all military and place a wreath at their Purple Heart Monument. Patricia Jess MSN,RN, U.S. Air Force, USAF reserve and PaANG is the guest of honor.

SPRN MEET

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Registered Nurses Club will meet at 9:30 am on Nov. 21 at Hamilton Presbyterian Church on Hamilton Road in Bethel Park. Andrew Fee, Regional Executive Director, Three Rivers Region, Special Olympics Pennsylvania, will speak on Special Olympics and sports.

CRAFT SHOW

Peters Township High School’s senior class presents the fourth annual holiday craft and vendor show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 28 at the high school, 121 Rolling Hills Drive, McMurray. More than 100 vendors and food trucks are expected. Entry and parking is free.

PT HALLOWEEN

The Elks Lodge 2213, located on South Park Road in Bethel Park, is collecting items for its Christmas Stocking Project. Items being collected for deployed troops include candy canes, granola bars, mints, gum, lollipops, candy, Rice Krispie Treats, trail mix, fruit snacks, individual bags of nuts, power bars, single-serve powdered Gatorade and energy drinks, Slim Jims and individual bags of snacks, cookies, crackers and pretzels. BUS TRIP

Registration for the Peters Township Castle Noel Christmas bus trip is due Nov. 6. This one-day getaway trip to Cleveland will be held Dec. 7 and will take in A Christmas Story House and Museum as well as visit sets from “Christmas Vacation,” “The Grinch,” as well as see costumes, props and Macy’s Department Store window displays.

Bus leaves the community recreation center at 7 a.m. and returns at 8 p.m. Fee is $195 and includes transportation, tours, lunch, gratuity and taxes.

ARTISAN MART

The Upper St. Clair League for the Arts will hold its Sugarplum Artisan Marketplace from Nov. 9-14 at the McLaughlin Run Road activity center. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 9-11 and Nov. 13. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday and Tuesday.

CRAFT SHOW

The St. Raphael the Archangel holiday craft show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 11 in the Sts. Simon & Jude Grade School gymnasium, located at 1625 Green Tree Road in Scott Township. In addition to 65 craft tables, there will be a Chinese auction, bake sale and lunch items to purchase. Parking and admission is free.

CRAFTERS NEEDED

The Venetia Heritage Society is looking for crafters and vendors for its Christmas holiday craft show to be held Dec. 1 at the Venetia Community Center in Peters Township.
