Peters Township kicks off haunted happenings
The Peters Township Haunted Trail will operate Oct. 6 and 7.
In its 23rd season, the wicked walk occurs along the Arrowhead Trail in Peterswood Park, starting at the community recreation center.
Hours are 7:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. No pre-registration is required but ticket sales end at 9:45 p.m. Fee is $5 per person.
From 6 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday only, there will be a special event for “brave” children, ages 8 and under. RSVP is required, as space is limited for the kids haunted trail. Visit www.peterstownship.com or call 724-942-5000.
The recreation department is also conducting a Trunk-or-Treat event from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at Rolling Hills Park. Ages 10 and under can attend and should dress in their Halloween costumes as they trick-or-treat along a paved trail from trunk to trunk.

The Crossroads Ministries, located at 81 Walter Long Road in Finleyville, will also conduct a Trunk-N-Treat night for the entire family from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. The event is free but space is limited and registration is required.
