ART SHOW
The Schoolhouse Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 27 at the Bethel Park Historical Society building located at 2600 South Park Road. Local artists, crafters and vendors will have products for purchase. Admission is free.
FITNESS
The Westminster Recreation and Outreach Center will offer fitness classes beginning July 6 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 2040 Washington Road in Upper St. Clair.
Barre Sculpt, Cardio Drumming, Cardio Strength Fusion, Gentle and Flow Yoga, Faith & Fitness, Parkinson’s Fitness, Pilates, drop-in Zumba AM/PM, and Stronger Bones for Better Balance are among the courses available.

HEALTHY EATING
The South Hills chapter of Plant-Based Pittsburgh meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. every third Monday at the Sunnyhill Unitarian Universalist Church on Washington Road in Mt. Lebanon.
Plant-Based Pittsburgh is a non-profit organization that promotes healthy nutrition and living through a whole foods plant-based lifestyle.
The group will host a potluck on July 15 and host a special guest speaker on July 20.

CRAFTS
The South Park Women’s Club’s 32nd annual craft show will be held Oct. 10 at the Broughton Fire Hall and the group is seeking “unique” crafters and vendors for the event, which features a variety of homemade items as well as offers refreshments, a bake sale, auction and raffle baskets.

Applications are being accepted for John McMillan Presbyterian Church’s annual Christmas Affair.
Space is limited for the event scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 7 at 875 Clifton Road, Bethel Park.
Each year, more than 50 artisans showcase a wide variety of handmade goods and holiday gifts at the event, which also includes a festive Gingerbread House, chance auction and the Kris Kringle Kafé. Admission is free.

CONCERTS
The Dean Streator Summer Concert Series, sponsored by the Bethel Park Community Foundation, kicks off with a performance by the Community Band South at 2:30 p.m. July 12 in the air-conditioned auditorium of the Bethel Park Community Center.
Other dates and groups in the 2026 summer session include:
July 29 — New Vintage Big Band.
Aug. 2 — Allegheny Brass Band
Aug. 9 — Pittsburgh Banjo Club
Aug. 16 — Keystone Chorus featuring barbershop harmonies and singalongs.
The concerts are free, but contributions to the BP Community Foundation are welcome. The Foundation funds scholarships and other projects which benefit residents of Bethel Park in the areas of arts and culture, health and recreation, education and safety.
Concerts begin at 2:30 PM. Doors open at 1:30 PM. Parking is limited.
FLEA MARKET
The Church of the Atonement will hold a flea market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 18 on the lawn located at 618 Washington Ave. in Carnegie.
Vendors are needed to sell crafts and other flea market items.

Among the following courses and classes being offered include:
Hoops Stars Basketball on Tuesdays beginning July 7. Ages 2 to 3 meet at 5 p.m. Ages 4 to 5 meet at 5:30 p.m. Ages 6 to 8 meet at 6:30 p.m. Participants learn the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting, positioning, defense and rebounding and then apply the learned skills in game situations.
Card making for adults paired with a youth, aged 8 and over is offered from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 13. Card-making for adults, ages 18 and older, will be held Aug. 24. Fee is $35 ($53 for nonmembers).
Volleyball camps for intermediates from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. and from Aug. 10-13 and 3 to 4:15 p.m. Aug. 17-20. An advanced camp runs from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 17-20. Ages 9 to 16 are eligible. Fee is $75 ($112 nonmembers).
Guitar lessons for ages 6 to 12 from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Mondays and for ages 18 and over from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. beginning July 6 at the Peterswood Park outdoor amphitheater. Fee is $115 ($173 nonmembers).
Pickleball instruction is offered for six weeks for ages 18 and over beginning July 6 and 7. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday sessions are offered from 9 to 10 a.m. for the B1 course that focuses on strokes, rules and court fundamentals and teaches the basics of the game. The B2 course, which reinforces skills through cooperative drills and repetitions as well as focuses on situational play and practice, runs from 10 to 11 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays. Fee is $120 ($180 nonmembers).
AQUATICS
A junior swim lesson instructor camp will be offered from July 13-17 at the Community & Recreation Center located at 1551 Mayview Road in Upper St. Clair. Call 412-221-1099 for more details.
GARDEN CLUB
The Giant Oaks Garden Club will meet July 2 at St. David’s Episcopal Church, located at 905 McMurray Road. Lunch begins at 11:15. CONCERTS
Michael Christopher & Coastal Country is the first of the summer concerts and events to be held at the Peterswood Park amphitheater. The group performs on June 24.
All summer concerts start at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted on Wednesdays and food trucks will be on site.
The line-up also includes: Velveeta on July 1; Pittsburgh Dueling Piano Allstars on July 8; Almost Taylor, Taylor Swift Tribute on July 15; Day One on July 22; Radio Tokyo on July 29; Dancing Queen on Aug. 5; The Delaneys on Aug. 12; Street Level (6 p.m.) on Aug. 19; and Desperado: Eagles Tribute Band (6 p.m.) on Aug. 26.

VENDORS
Registration is open for local businesses and organizations that wish to set up a booth in Mt. Lebanon Park for the community’s July 4 celebration. The event runs from noon to 5 p.m. Businesses, food vendors and non-profits must register.
Additionally, high school-age workers are needed to run carnival games. They will be paid $10 per hour.

REUNION
The South Park High School’s Class of ’76 will hold its 50th reunion Aug. 21 at the Cottage, located at the South Park Fairgrounds, near the clock building. The picnic begins at noon. AUP GROUP
The Association of University People (AUP) welcomes singles 50 and older who are four-year college graduates, to join them for various activities and to meet new friends.
Events include happy hour, brunches, lunches, dinners, meet-ups at live music venues and local wineries, picnics, book groups, day trips, and Scrabble.
Those interested can attend three activities as guests before deciding to join.

CAMP
Penn Woods Classical Academy will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence through an immersive four-day summer camp experience taking place from 9 a.m. to noon July 13-16.
Designed to bring history to life, the camp will immerse first- through seventh-grade students in the people, events, and daily life of the American Revolutionary War through hands-on activities, crafts, games, and historical experiences. Each day of camp will feature a Revolutionary-era theme such as: becoming a signer of the Declaration of Independence Day where students will create their own signature, participate in ink and quill writing, complete a scavenger hunt, and take part in a mock Continental Congress debate; learn military drills, make hardtack and stew, and more.

PONY CAMP
Horses Unlimited Stables will offer a pony camp, designed specifically for beginner riders ages 5 to 10, at its private barn in South Park. While the first camp is full, a second camp has been added for Aug. 10-13. Time is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The camp is limited to 12 children. Campers learn to care for, groom, tack up, and ride ponies.
