SPAGHETTI DINNER
A spaghetti dinner will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 in Legras Hall on the St. Louise de Marillac campus of St. Catherine Labouré Parish at 320 McMurray Road. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children and include spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and drink. This is a fundraiser for the Eagle project of Domenic Conzemius. Tickets are available at the door.
5K RACE
The 11th annual Mission Possible 5K Run/1 Mile Walk will be held at 8 a.m. Sept. 19 starting at the Quail Acres Pavilion in North Strabane Park. The event benefits City Mission’s Crabtree Kovacicek Veterans House, which provides shelter and comprehensive services to homeless veterans.
Registration fee is $25.

GENEALOGY
The Mt. Lebanon Genealogy Society will meet at 1 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Mt. Lebanon Public Library’s Meeting Room A, downstairs.
In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, Megan Clark-Young will discuss “Finding Your Revolutionary War Relatives” and provide an overview of the types of records useful for genealogical research in Pennsylvania during that era as well as where to find those records today.
She will also discuss the difference between service in a local militia and the Continental Line as well as the types of records each kind of service generated. She will also examine pension application files and bounty land records, focusing especially on the donation and depreciation lands within the bounds of western Pennsylvania.

GALA
The Bethel Park Education Foundation (BPEF) fundraising Gala for the opening of the new Bethel Park Elementary School will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 20. Tickets available at the school district’s administration building, Evey’s Hardware, the municipal library, through the OR code on posters around the community, or online at the BPEF website.
FALL SALE
The Church of The Atonement in Carnegie will hold a fall sale Sept. 18-19 at 618 Washington Ave. Hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday with a bag sale from 1 to 2 p.m. Sept. 19.
Clothing, linens, home goods, kitchen treasures, seasonal, holiday, and vintage items as well as medical equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs will be available for purchase. Cash only.
Donations are being accepted until Sept. 15. No electronic items, televisions or large furniture will be collected.

Local vendors and artists will be displaying and selling artwork and handcrafted creations.

The Harmony Singers of Pittsburgh will present a holiday concert “Yuletide Noels” under the direction of Cynthia G. Pratt at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 at the Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Ave. The facility is accessible to all.
The concert will include an hour of holiday entertainment for all ages with a mixture of joyful, sacred, and secular songs.

Applications are being accepted for John McMillan Presbyterian Church’s annual Christmas Affair.
Space is limited for the event scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 7 at 875 Clifton Road, Bethel Park.
Each year, more than 50 artisans showcase a wide variety of handmade goods and holiday gifts at the event, which also includes a festive Gingerbread House, chance auction and the Kris Kringle Kafé. Admission is free.

The Joy of Christmas craft show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 21 at St. Louise de Marillac School and LeGras Parish Center at 320 McMurray Road.
More than 100 artists and crafters will offer items for purchase. In addition to craft and 50/50 raffles, lunch, snacks and baked goods will be available for purchase.
Admission is $2 and includes a ticket for the craft raffle.
Strollers are not permitted inside the show.
SAVE THE DATE
Giant Oaks Garden Club’s annual Tinsel luncheon and fundraiser will be held Oct. 30 at the Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe. Tickets for “Glitter & Glow” are $50 per person and includes a luncheon as well as a full day of vendor shopping, raffle baskets valued at a minimum of $100, door prizes, and a 50/50 drawing.
AARP
The AARP Chapter 3016 meets the second Thursday of the month at Unity Presbyterian Church, 1146 Greentree Road.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The meeting starts at noon.
