PHOTO CLUB
Wildlife photographer Karen Sturgeon will be featured at the Western Pennsylvania Lensshooters Camera Club meeting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 14 in the Peters Township Public Library. In addition to showing her favorite photos and talking about her future travel plans, Sturgeon will also discuss mirrorless cameras and post-processing with Photoshop, Lightroom and DeNoise-type products. Admission is free and open to the public.

CHINESE NEW YEAR
St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church will host a Chinese New Year dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Feb. 10 in the social hall at 220 Mansfield Blvd., Carnegie. The fundraising dinner features spring rolls, soups and entrees, including barbeque pork and chicken fried rice. Dine-in and take-out meals are available. COMEDY NIGHT

PANCAKE DINNER
A Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb 13 at Center Presbyterian Church, located at 255 Center Church Road in Peters Township. SOUPS ON
The South Hills Elks Lodge No. 2213 gives away free quarts of soup from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays until supplies are gone. Take-out only. The lodge is located at 2789 South Park Road.
ELKS FISH FRY
The South Hills Elks Lodge 2213 will hold an Ash Wednesday fish fry from 1 to 7 p.m. Feb. 14 at its location on South Park Road in Bethel Park. Dine in or take-out. Prices are $13 per fish sandwich or $16 for beer-battered cod, French fries and coleslaw. The lodge will offer a fish fry every Friday in Lent, including Good Friday (March 29) from 3 to 7 p.m.
The Elks will host a dinner dance on Feb. 17. Reservations are due Feb. 12. Tickets are $25 each and includes filet mignon, baked potato, salad and roll. Dance only admission is $10. Call 412-831-0616 to RSVP.
TAX HELP
Free tax Assistance will be offered from Feb. 5 to April 4 at The Bible Chapel, located at 300 Gallery Drive in McMurray. Hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The office is closed April 1. No appointments. Filers are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Filers should provide last year’s tax return, identification, Social Security numbers, birth dates, all W-2 forms and 1099 tax documents (including Social Security 1099), health care statements and property tax receipts.
