Mt. Lebanon resident Susan Baker Shipley has been appointed Huntington Bank’s new regional president, leading the bank in western Pennsylvania and the Ohio Valley region. Prior to joining Huntington, Shipley served as head of global trade finance for North America at The Royal Bank of Scotland/Citizens Bank.

“I am delighted to join Huntington. I have admired Huntington’s investment in western Pennsylvania and the Ohio Valley,” she said. “I look forward to joining an organization that shares my values and commitment to the community.”

Shipley was a Pittsburgh Business Times 2012 Women in Business Award Winner, a 2011 ATHENA International Finalist for the Pittsburgh Chapter and a 2010 member of the International Women’s Forum Western PA Chapter. She is a board member of the Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh, and is active in many other local charities.

“Susie’s deep ties in the Pittsburgh community through her long history of supporting dozens of organizations will also help her to expand Huntington’s community relationships,” said Jim Dunlap, Huntington regional and commercial banking director.

Shipley replaces David Hammer, who left Huntington to pursue other interests.
