Don Burns, author and instructor in Pittsburgh History at both Carnegie Mellon and Pitt, will talk about “Undiscovered Pittsburgh.” Learn about locations, buildings and sites in the Pittsburgh area that are not well known.

Asbury Heights, Mt. Lebanon, welcomes award-winning sports writer Jim O’Brien to its Social Room at 6 p.m. April 17. O’Brien will share stories and insights about Pittsburgh and talk about his newest book, “Immaculate Reflections,” which reflects on sports events and issues that have enthralled Pittsburghers for years.
The event is free. Refreshments will be served.
Dormont AARP #3016 will hold a Spring Pancake & Sausage Brunch from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. April 27 at Dormont Presbyterian Church.
