Washington Area Humane Society will hold “Spare A Life” bowling fundraiser from noon-2 p.m. May 19 at Legacy Lanes, 5024 Curry Road, Baldwin.
Cost of $30 per person includes 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental, pizza, chicken tenders and unlimited soda.
The event will include door prizes, raffles and a chance to win Pirates tickets valued at $385.
The Friends of Family Hospice & Palliative Care, an auxiliary volunteer fundraising group, will hold a Treasure Table fundraising sale 9 a.m.-2 p.m. May 11 in the auditorium of Family Hospice’s Center for Compassionate Care in Mt. Lebanon.
A “treasure hunter’s dream,” the Treasure Table sale will feature like-new items including artwork, jewelry, collectibles, fashion accessories, glassware, lamps, holiday decorations and more.

The Friends of South Park, a citizens group focused on park betterment through volunteerism and advocacy, are sponsoring the second annual Golf Outing, May 18 at South Park Golf Course. The player fee of $75 includes 18 holes, golf cart, hot dog and beverage at the turn and a steak dinner on completion. Skill prices will be offered. Local golfers can give kidney patients a better shot by teeing off for charity at the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Cadillac Golf Classic at Valley Brook Country Club at noon May 20. Top finishing teams are invited to compete in the National Finals at Pebble Beach, Calif., Jan. 17-20, 2014. The National Kidney Foundation Cadillac Golf Classic series is the largest amateur charity golf event in the world, raising more than $80 million for the NKF.
Amateur golfers, male and female, can participate as part of four-person teams. Eligible teams consist of players whose combined USGA Handicap Indexes total 42.0 or more, and only one golfer on each team may have a Handicap Index of 8.0 or less.
Golfers will vie for prizes provided by national sponsors including Cadillac, PING, Golf Digest/Golf World, One Car One Difference, Bridgestone Golf, the Greg Norman Collection and Tiffany & Co., as well as an invitation to the National Finals at the Pebble Beach Resorts (additional fees required). Local sponsors include HM Insurance, Calgon Carbon, Koppers, Cadillac, Highmark and UPMC.
The entry fee for a foursome is $1,500 and hole sponsorships are $150. A portion of the fee is tax deductible, and helps support programs in early detection, public education, research and patient advocacy provided by the National Kidney Foundation Serving the Alleghenies.

Dress for Success Pittsburgh-Washington Branch is holding its second annual Power Walk on May 4 at the Washington Park Stone Lodge. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the walk kicks off at 10 – rain or shine. Entertainment includes health and wellness booths and a kids’ corner. The walk will raise funds for the nonprofit organization, which promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, support and career development tools to help women thrive in work and life.

The Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center’s annual benefit, Laughter is the Best Medicine, will take place May 4 at the Frick Art & Historical Center in Point Breeze.
