Caitlin Brust, daughter of Donald and Marita Brust of Bethel Park and graduate of Bethel Park High School, was named to the spring honors list at Franklin & Marshall College.

The following students have graduated from Geneva College: Rebecca Bogan of Bethel Park, bachelor of science in elementary education; Lauren Holmes of Bridgeville, bachelor of arts in music performance; Theodore Krzywiecki of Bridgeville, bachelor of science in business administration; Brandy McCartney of McDonald, bachelor of science in music education; Julie McCracken of McMurray, bachelor of science in elementary education; and Samantha Michetti of Canonsburg, bachelor of science in elementary education.

The following students have graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology: Courtney Koslof of Bethel Park earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in fine arts studio from RIT’s College of Imaging Arts and Sciences; Alison Nicola of Bethel Park earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in film and animation from RIT’s College of Imaging Arts and Sciences; and Andrew Nock of Upper St. Clair earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering technology from RIT’s College of Applied Science and Technology.

The following students were named to the spring dean’s list at Miami University: Nancy Gillen, Madison Jencka, Anastasia Raftis, Ian Ridge and Kelly Sweeney, all of Upper St. Clair; Rachel Kirklin of South Park; Brian Keating Richardson of Mt. Lebanon; Matthew Browell Walsh of Bridgeville; Angeline DeNardo of McMurray; and Adam Ferraco, Molly Gordon and Jeffrey Lioon, all of Venetia.

Lauren Elizabeth Tan of Bethel Park graduated from Washington and Jefferson College with a degree in psychology and a minor in religious studies. She was also named to the spring dean’s list. In the fall, Lauren will attend California University of Pennsylvania’s graduate school to pursue a master’s degree in school counseling.

Anne McNamara of Venetia was a recipient of the spring dean’s award for academic excellence at Colgate University, where she just finished her freshman year. She is a graduate of Peters Township High School.

The following students have been named to the spring dean’s list at Loyola University Maryland: Aryn Malarkey of Bethel Park, Riley Piechnick of Canonsburg and Jonathan Ross of Venetia.

Amy Banner of Bethel Park has graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a bachelor of arts in English. She has accepted a job with the City Year in Sacramento, Calif.

Megan Junker of McMurray was named to the spring dean’s list at St. Bonaventure University. She is a marketing major.

Brittany Rodgers, a sophomore industrial and systems engineering major at Virginia Tech, was named to the spring dean’s list. The Mt. Lebanon High School graduate is the daughter of Greg and Mary Jo Rodgers.

The following students were named to the spring dean’s list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute: Nicolina DiNardi of Pleasant Hills, Brianna Kilberg of McMurray, Bryce Merriam of Bethel Park and Victoria Vernacchio of Mt. Lebanon.

Christina Lampert of McMurray, a marketing major at Saint Joseph’s University, was named to the spring dean’s list.

The following students have been named to the spring dean’s list at Geneva College: Julie McCracken and Eric Spangenberg, both of McMurray; Rebecca Bogan and Emily Palombo, both of Bethel Park; Theodore Krzywiecki and Justin Fink, both of Bridgeville; Brandy McCartney of McDonald; and Samuel Batchelder of Venetia.

Maegan Benham, daughter of Kristin Benham of Bridgeville, was named with highest honors to the spring semester dean’s list at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul in St. Paul, Minn. Maegan is pursuing a degree in Music Performance. Highest honors are awarded to students with a GPA of 3.90 to 4.0.

Kierra Falbo of Venetia was recently recognized as a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda, a national leadership and honors organization at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Sigma Alpha Lambda is dedicated to promoting and rewarding academic achievement and providing members with opportunities for community service, personal development and lifelong professional fulfillment.

(PIX)Matthew Boyas, son of John and Elise Boyas of Upper St. Clair, graduated summa cum laude and with high honors from Dartmouth College with bachelor of science degrees in mathematics and social science. He was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and was a James O. Freedman Presidential Scholar.

In addition, Matt was also a four year member of Dartmouth’s Symphony Orchestra, spending one semester in Vienna, Austria, and was a two-time recipient of the college’s Macdonald-Smith Music Performance Prize.

Matt also completed internships with the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, Veterans Affairs Pittsburgh Healthcare System and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Matt will attend the University of California at Berkeley to continue his studies in statistics. He is a graduate of Upper St. Clair High School.

Brett Ley, a recent graduate of South Fayette High School, has just completed his freshman year at Leigh University. Brett has just returned from a nine-week Iacocca International Internship in Kyiv, Ukraine, and had his article, titled “How to Get Your Dream Job,” picked up by Europeonline. The following students were named to the spring dean’s list at Denison University: Emily Eiben of Bethel Park; Emmalee Hagarman, Kelsey Hagarman, Constantine Politis, Matthew Stalnaker and Alexander Tybl, all of Upper St. Clair; and Megan Worden of Mt. Lebanon.

The following students have been named to the Provost’s List for the spring semester: Louis Emmi of Mt. Lebanon, Thomas Hurley of Bethel Park and Jared Nicholson of McMurray.

Nicolina DiNardi of Pleasant Hills earned a BS in biomedical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Bryce Merriam of Bethel Park graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a BS in business and management.

Villanova University named the following students to the spring dean’s list: Roxanne Chalifoux and Michael Farnan, both of McMurray; Aubree Fairfull of Canonsburg; and Alexander Wright of Venetia.
