USC promotes four
Three teachers and one librarian were introduced at the Upper St. Clair School Board meeting on Aug. 26 after being promoted to various position in the district.
Tim Wagner, a teacher at Upper St. Clair High School, was promoted to Language Arts curriculum leader for Fort Couch Middle School and the high school.
Wagner told the school board that the last time he spoke at an Upper St. Clair School Board meeting, he was a fourth grade student at Streams Elementary. He said his teacher at the time had brought him and a few of his classmates to the board meeting to tell the board about a special project in the classroom.
Three other staff members were promoted by the school board and were introduced publicly.
Bradley Wilson was promoted to a half-time position as a curriculum leader for customization and instructional technology while Joshua Criswell was promoted to Fine Arts department chair for the district. Wilson and Criswell both teach at Fort Couch Middle School,
Ginny Husak, the librarian at Boyce Middle School, was promoted to library department chair.
Husak said that after 23 years in the district, she was ready to assume her leadership role. She said that she was looking forward to keeping libraries relevant to the students.
