Rosh Hashanah services set to begin Sept. 4 – Aug. 28
Chabad of the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon, will hold the following services for Rosh Hashanah:
• Selichot evening service, 11:30 p.m. Aug. 31.
• Rosh Hashanah evening service, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 4 and 5.
• Rosh Hashanah morning service, 9:30 a.m. Sept. 5 and 6, followed by Shofar service at 11:30.
No membership, tickets or affiliation required. RSVP appreciated. A children’s program will also take place on these two dates, at 10:30 a.m., and reservations are required.
In addition to its regular Hebrew School, held 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sundays, beginning Sept. 8, Chabad of the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon, will offer a new program from 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning Oct. 9 at Crowne Plaza Hotel. It will be divided into three separate, seven-week sessions designed to give children basic Jewish skills and love and knowledge of his/her heritage.
