The Bethel Park High School Guidance Department will host a free Financial Aid Night Program from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Dec. 19 in the high school auditorium on Church Road for all Bethel Park High School students and their parents.

Kim McCurdy, a higher education access partner for PHEAA with 15 years of financial aid experience in colleges and in the Lending Division at Bank of America, will speak.

The Green Tree snowman contest runs now through March 17 with prizes in three categories. One winner in each category will receive a $100 gift card. The contest is for Green Tree residents only.

The McMurray Lions Club is selling Koeze products, including cashews, mixed nuts, chocolates, caramel corn and more.

The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) has awarded the Mt. Lebanon School District its Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) for excellence in budget presentation for 2013-14. This is the 19th consecutive year the District has been recognized with this award, which is given only to school entities that have met or exceeded the Meritorious Budget Award criteria.

The award represents a significant achievement by Mt. Lebanon School District and Business Director Janice Klein. To earn this award, the school district submitted its 2013-2014 budget for a rigorous review based on stringent criteria.

Tickets are currently being sold for DAV Chapter 76’s Dinner Dance set for 6-11 p.m. Feb. 15 at DoubleTree by Hilton, located on Mansfield Avenue.

Cost of $40/person includes a hot buffet dinner at 7 p.m., refreshments (two complimentary drink tickets), music, dancing and prizes. Installation of officers will take place after dinner.

Limited number of tickets available. No tickets will be sold after Jan. 31.
