The Mt. Lebanon School Board unanimously approved Kelly Szesterniak as the new principal of Hoover Elementary School at the Nov. 18 regular school board meeting. Szesterniak is currently the assistant principal at Mellon Middle School where she has served since 2011. She will make the transition to Hoover the last week in January upon the retirement of current Hoover Principal Mary Ann Schnirel.

Prior to coming to Mt. Lebanon, Szesterniak was a curriculum coordinator and the assistant principal at Lakeside Middle School-Irvine Unified School District in California. She holds a bachelor of science in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree in educational administration and school leadership from California State University, Fullerton.

The Musuneggi Financial Group announced that Christopher S. Musuneggi, vice president of Business Development, recently completed the selective Entrepreneurial Fellows Program at the University of Pittsburgh’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence.

CEOs, company founders and family business leaders who have achieved at least $1 million in sales are invited to join the year-long program. Musuneggi is one of 36 graduates representing a range of businesses, including professional services, real estate and construction, retail and apparel, printing and design, and manufacturing.

(PIX) Jon Amelio has been hired as the Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s new chief technology officer. He will be a member of the AIU’s Executive Leadership Team and will be responsible for the implementation of high-quality, cost-effective, meaningful and useful technological services that serve internal and external stakeholders.

Amelio formerly held the position of director of information technology at Continuous Learning Group, and was responsible for the organization’s technical infrastructure, data center, telecommunications and business applications. He has also served at Northrop Grumman Corporation, Materials Research Society and Cobweb Internet Services. Amelio holds a bachelor’s degree in information science from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in business administration from Robert Morris University.
