Healing Hearts for Pet Lovers

After the rush of the holidays, the grief of a recent loss can return. And for pet lovers who have lost an animal companion, that grief is no different.
“I schedule this healing and nurturing event around Valentine’s Day each year to help mend the hearts of people who may have suffered a recent loss, or for whom a previous loss is somehow fresh,” said Deb Chebatoris, owner of Chartiers Custom Pet Cremation in Bridgeville.
The session is planned for Feb. 10 at LaBella Bean Café in Bridgeville, 609 Washington Avenue, Bridgeville. LaBella Bean will be closed to the public during this session.
For the eight years she has been in business, Chebatoris has scheduled the one-afternoon session to provide grieving families with help and resources to work through the trauma of losing a beloved companion. Families grieving the loss of their pet are welcome whether or not they have worked with Chartiers Custom Pet Cremation.
The session is free and includes a speaker. Grieving pet owners are welcome to listen or share stories of their animal companions. Any person who is having trouble coming to terms with the loss of a pet, regardless of when the loss occurred, is welcome to attend.
