Auditions for The Baldwin Players production of Ray Clooney’s “There Goes the Bride” will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 7. Auditions are in Asbury Hall of the Baldwin United Methodist Church on Baptist Road.

The show calls for four women and four men, ranging in age from 21-65. The comedic farce centers around a bride’s forthcoming marriage.

Grove City College students will perform in the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops All-Star College Chorus at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh Feb. 7-10.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 7; 8 p.m. Feb. 8-9; and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 10.

Brigitta Hutchins of Mt. Lebanon, a freshman and music education major at Grove City College, is one of the students who will be performing.

This season’s concerts will have the theme of a valentine concert.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is proud to present an explosive performance from DRUMLine Live at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Benedum Center. Continuing its fourth US tour, DRUMLine Live’s energetic cast has honed its precision and energy with years of training in marching band programs across the southern United States.

Experienced in a wide range of music and dance, DRUMLine Live takes on contemporary hip hop, R&B, classic Motown tunes, and the traditional marching band brass sounds in its musically diverse shows.

While there is snow on the ground, children are encouraged to make a snowball and save it in the freezer.

On the first day of summer, June 21, visitors can take the snowballs to the Carnegie Science Center on the North Shore and be able to name their admission price. And, weather permitting, every person who brings a snowball to the Science Center will be able to launch it into the Ohio River.

Plans are underway for the 12th Annual Taste of the Township fundraiser for the Peters Township Public Library in April 2013, with a new twist for ticket sales to the festivities. This year, the committee organizing the event is now offering advance tickets at an early bird price of $45 each, a savings of $5 per ticket.

“We decided to kick off ticket sales at a special price available until Feb. 15, 2013,” said Taste of the Township Chairperson Margaret Verlato.

The event will be held April 19. Tickets can be purchased now at the library circulation desk.

Tickets range from $20-$35, and student tickets are $10. Discounts are available for seniors and groups of eight or more.

Pittsburgh Dance Council, a division of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, will present “Kyle Abraham/Abraham.In.Motion: Pavement” at 8 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Byham Theater.

Pittsburgh native Kyle Abraham brings his company home for a special evening of dance showcasing his latest work, “Pavement,” a choreography that expresses changes taking place in Pittsburgh’s historically black neighborhoods.

Point Park University’s Conservatory Theatre Company presents “Chess” Feb. 21-Mar. 3 in the Rockwell Theatre at the Pittsburgh Playhouse.

In the midst of the Cold War, Freddie Trumper of the United States and Anatoly Sergievsky of the Soviet Union, face off in a world championship chess tournament. The two men, with the reputations of their countries at stake, prove weak in the face of love and loyalty.

“Chess” will have a preview performance at 8 p.m. Feb. 21 with tickets available at a discounted rate of $12. There is also a “Pay What You Wish” matinee performance at 2 p.m. Feb. 23 (tickets subject to availability).
