Baptist Homes Society names MVPs

Baptist Homes Society announced its 2012 MVPs (Mission and Vision Personified) at a Recognition Dinner held Jan. 26 at the Crown Plaza Hotel South Pittsburgh.
Throughout the year, employees nominate their peers for the monthly MVP awards at each of Baptist Homes Society’s two communities (Providence Point and Baptist Homes).
At the end of the year, one winner from each campus is selected as the MVP of the Year. For 2012, Dodi Longenecker, who has worked at Baptist Homes for more than 12 years, beginning as a laundry aide and now working as an activity assistant, was named MVP of the Year.
Elaine Overend, who began working for Baptist Homes more than four years ago and is currently an activity aide in Providence Point’s Personal Care residence, was chosen as Providence Point’s MVP of the Year.
Staff who have attained ‘milestone’ years of service were also honored, including Evonne Arrington, who was honored for 35 years of service.
