Due to an overwhelming response, Bethel Park will install another group of military banners along Route 88, Library Road. The banners honor individual men and women by displaying their names with a picture, service, branch or company, conflict and rank on a 24-inch by 36-inch vinyl banner.

The Second Sunday series will be held at 6:30 p.m. July 14 in Town Park, featuring The Four Townsmen.
The tax office will be closed until 9 a.m. July 8.
The Green Tree Rain Barrel Contest will be held during the Wilson Park Pool Fourth of July Celebration. The contest is for borough residents only. The winner need not be present to win.
Mt. Lebanon Recreation Department will host a day trip to the Seven Springs Wine & Food Festival on Aug. 25.
Cost of $99 per person includes brunch, a ticket to the festival and transportation. Adults 21 years and older must register by July 16.

Touch a Truck is set for 10 a.m-noon July 13 in Peterswood Park. The event is free and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Get up close and personal with some of the favorite “big rigs” and equipment. Truck lovers young and old will have fun interacting with a wide variety of trucks, construction vehicles, public safety vehicles and more.
The nationally acclaimed Camp Invention summer program is coming to Upper St. Clair. Inspired and influenced by the National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductees, and sponsored by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Camp Invention is a week-long summer enrichment program for children entering grades one through six. The program creatively immerses and engages its participants through hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
Boyce Middle School is hosting Camp Invention July 15-19. This year’s Camp Invention program is Create which features the I Can Invent: Launchitude module, where children use physics and engineering to create a Duck Chucking device using components from everyday objects.
Each day, children rotate through integrated modules that employ creative thinking to solve real-world challenges. Children learn vital 21st century life skills, such as problem solving and teamwork through imaginative exploration.

• The Board of Commissioners will hold two public hearings on or about 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5 in the meeting room, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road. One public hearing was requested by Chipotle Mexican Grill for outdoor dining at the grill at 1720 Washington Road.

The second public hearing for a conditional use was requested by 1800 Washington Road Associates, LP, 650 Washington Road, Suite 400, to allow for mixed use development at 1800 Washington Road.
