HDS founder and C.E.O., Howard Schwartz, has been named as a finalist for the Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia region of Ernest & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award program. Recognized as one of the most prestigious business award programs of the country, the Ernest & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award celebrates the country’s most innovative business leaders. This year, the award program received submissions from more than 1,700 nominees from across the country. The award recognizes men and women who take the standard of excellence and achievement to new heights.

The Musuneggi Financial Group announces that Five Star Professionals, in conjunction with Pittsburgh Magazine, has named its Vice President of Business Development, Christopher S. Musuneggi, as a recipient of the 2013 Five Star Wealth Manager Award. Musuneggi, along with his partners, Mary Grace Musuneggi, president & CEO, and Rosalind Frazier-Francis, vice president of operations, provide expertise in the areas of financial, business and investment planning.

Kimberly M. King of Upper St. Clair has joined UnitedHealthcare as senior account executive for Key Accounts.

King will coordinate sales of medical, dental, vision, life and disability groups for employer groups of 100-3,000 people in the 29 counties of Western Pennsylvania. She will work with both fully insured and self-funded employers.

During the course of her 20-year career, King has served in a wide range of insurance positions in the Pittsburgh area. Most recently, she was a senior sales representative at OneAmerica/AUL. She has also worked for several other insurance businesses, including The Hartford, Standard Insurance Company and Marsh USA.

King graduated magna cum laude from California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree in business marketing.

The American Red Cross welcomes Connie Cavrich to its Western Pennsylvania fundraising and development team.

Cavrich has been appointed corporate major gifts officer for the American Red Cross serving Allegheny, Greene, Washington and Fayette counties. In her position, Cavrich will be responsible for major gifts from corporations and foundations, as well as cultivation and stewardship of local donors. Prior to her employment with the organization, Cavrich gained extensive fundraising experience for nonprofits through her roles as director of development at Catholic Charities and Hospice and Palliative Foundation. Her background includes managing fund campaigns and annual development plans, executing direct mail programs, writing foundation grants and leading volunteer groups. A native of Pittsburgh, Cavrich received a bachelor’s degree in public service from Pennsylvania State University. She currently resides in Upper St. Clair with her husband and two daughters.
