Family Hospice and Palliative Care offers Camp Healing Hearts, a free one-day bereavement camp for kids 6-12 coping with the loss of a loved one. Loss can include death, divorce, deployment, incarceration of a loved one or another major life transition. Camp Healing Hearts features healing activities, including art, music, pet therapy, an educational obstacle course and more. All 2013 Camps take place 9 a.m.-3:45 p.m. on these dates:

• June 8, Mt. Lebanon – Family Hospice’s Center for Compassionate Care, 50 Moffett St.

• June 22, North Side – Family Hospice’s Anderson Manor, 1423 Liverpool St.

• Aug. 24, Monroeville – St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2110 Haymaker Road.

The Brain Recovery Crew stroke and brain injury and activities group meets 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Bethel Park Community Center. The meetings are free to attend, and participants should bring their own lunch. Focus is on exercises, cognitive activities, resources and socialization. The Cancer Caring Center and UPMC will offer a Head and Neck Cancer support group at 6 p.m. the first Wednesday of every month. The group meets at UPMC Cancer Centers, Bethel Park.

Trudi Cooke, RN, OCN, will welcome all head and neck cancer patients and their adult family members.

• The Center for Compassionate Care, 50 Moffett St., Mt. Lebanon, 7-8:30 p.m. the third Monday of every month.

• Southminster House, 801 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, 1-2:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of every month

• Baldwin Community United Methodist Church, 5001 Baptist Road, Whitehall, 7-8:30 p.m. the first Thursday of every month

Free to the public. No registration required.
