Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has awarded a summer research fellowship to Tyler Simpson of Venetia. Simpson’s study, “Earth Mover’s Distance in Diffusion Geometry”, will be supervised by Meng Su.
Kerriann Laubach of McMurray received a bachelor of arts degree in environmental studies and biology from Washington and Lee University.
Katherine Lamb of Bethel Park, a senior public relations major at York College of Pennsylvania, was presented with a Student Senate Service Award, which recognizes outstanding student service to the college and the community. She was also awarded the H. LaMarr Rice Forensic Award for outstanding student performance in forensics, and a Student Association Service Scholarship Award for outstanding campus service and leadership through College activities.
Julie Reigh Trout, daughter of Kevin and Tammy Trout of Upper St. Clair and graduate of Upper St. Clair High School, graduated cum laude from Juniata College with a bachelor of science degree in early childhood certification.
Julian Walker Valdiserri, son of Michael Valdiserri and Jeannine Valdiserri, graduated from Juniata College with a bachelor of arts degree in management with a secondary emphasis in environmental studies. He was a four year starter on the football team as a wide receiver and also a team captain. He is a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School.
