Jones-Friedrich
Carolyn L. Jones and Neil J. Friedrich were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. June 1 at The First Baptist Church of Pittsburgh. Rev. Matt Koerber of City Reformed Presbyterian Church officiated at the ceremony. A reception followed at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association.
Carolyn is the daughter of Roy and Wendy Jones of Rock Hill, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Donna and the late F. Alan Jones of White Oak, and the late Mrs. Alice Coleman of Ft. Myers, Fla.
Neil’s parents are Bill and Becky Friedrich of Upper St. Clair.
Serving as matron of honor was Heather Ashe of Pittsburgh. Bridesmaids were Jenna Moe of Pittsburgh and Emily Friedrich of Upper St. Clair, sister of the groom.
Elizabeth Ashe, daughter of the matron of honor, served as the flower girl.
Andrew Tran of Dallas, Texas, was the best man. Groomsmen were Clinton Ford of Madison, Wis., and Alexander Grutter of California. Brian Ashe, son of the matron of honor, served as the ring bearer.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Carrollton High School, Carrollton, Ga. In 2009, she received her bachelor of arts degree and in 2011 her MBA in English from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, N.C. In 2012, she received her MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh. She is presently employed in archives and preservation with the Upper St. Clair Historical Society.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Upper St. Clair High School. In 2007, he received his engineering degree from Case Western University, Cleveland, Ohio. In 2010, he received his Wake Law Degree from Wake Forest University, where the couple met. And in 2011, he received his Patent Law Degree from George Washington University. Neil is presently employed by the Webb Law Firm of Pittsburgh.
The couple is planning a honeymoon to London in the fall. They currently reside in Swissvale.
