Letter contained misinformation
I appreciate the enthusiasm that Eric Rouillard demonstrated in his Feb. 27 letter to the editor, “Get Educated on Political Candidates.” Unfortunately, Mr. Rouillard’s letter contained some misinformation.
Mr. Rouillard referred to “Judge Vic Stabile” as a candidate for Commonwealth Court. Actually, Vic Stabile is a candidate for PA Superior Court. Moreover, he is not a judge and has had no judicial experience.
There is another, highly qualified Republican candidate running for Superior Court: Judge Rob Wyda, who presently serves as the District Magistrate for Bethel Park and Upper St. Clair. Judge Wyda has held this position for 14 years and was also an Assistant District Attorney in Allegheny County for seven years. In addition, he is a Commander in the Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps, serving in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He has assisted in the prosecution of our nation’s enemies in these theatres and has been awarded the Defense Department’s Meritorious Service Medal.
