Moses – Ferdinand
Richard and Linda Moses of Upper St. Clair announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel, to Ted Ferdinand, son of Joseph and Sharon Ferdinand of Hazleton, Pa.
Rachel is the granddaughter of the late Albert and Margaret Moses of New Kensington, and the late John and Edna Sims of Jefferson Borough.
Ted is the grandson of the late Demo and Josephine Ferdinand of Hazleton, and Betty and the late Roger Bitzel of York.
The future bride is a graduate of Upper St. Clair High School. She earned a bachelor of arts in Spanish from Washington and Jefferson College and a master’s degree in education from Duquesne University. She is a Spanish and math teacher at Harrison Middle School in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District.
Her fiancé is a graduate of Hazleton Area High School and Duquesne University where he earned a bachelor of arts in business administration. He works as a diabetes care specialist at Novo Nordisk Inc.
The couple met while playing on a kickball team for the Pittsburgh Sports League (PSL).
A July wedding is planned.
