Circus is no fun for animal acts
The circus is coming to Pittsburgh. As this may sound like family fun, it’s no fun for the animal acts.
The animals do tricks out of fear, from harsh, unkind training rituals. They travel in cramped quarters for many miles between cities, with no room to turn around.
Elephants are just beautiful. They have “families” and the females stay together for life. They are very good mothers. Bending down on their knees (to bow to the crowd) causes great pain due to their massive weight.
All of the animals suffer, some not getting even basic vet care when needed. The people that own the circus make money from the animals but they don’t give too much back to them.
So I am asking you NOT to attend the circus in November. I am not part of a group, I am a group of one person (myself) who thought the animals needed a voice.
If you must go to a circus, you can go online and find one that has NO animal acts. Remember, your money spends anywhere. Do not spend it to fuel the animal circus. Give your voice to those who have none.
