PT beats Lebo
Mia Kness fired a low-score 38 as Peters Township defeated Mt. Lebanon, 195-208, at Rolling Hills Country Club. Lily Oppenheimer led the Blue Devils with a 44.
Previously, the Lady Indians won a tri-match against Penn-Trafford and North Allegheny by shooting a 186 score. The Warriors fired a 190 while the Tigers were one stroke off that pace.
Kness and Brooke Hilden were the leaders for PT with 41 and 46 scores.
The Peters Township White squad finished first in the Central Dauphin High School boys’ golf invitational. Held on the 6,753-yard Dauphin Highlands Golf Course, the event featured 27 teams and 135 players from across the state. Teams played five players and the top four scores were recorded.
The White team carded a 290 score while the Red unit finished with a 304 mark, identical to that of Chambersburg Area and Cumberland Valley.
Josh Verner earned medalist honors with a four-under-par 68.
In follow-up action, PT defeated Trinity to even its section record (1-1) and improve its overall mark to 3-1.
Verner led with a 37 while Anthony Lioon followed with a 39. Ryan Pollack, Cody Ruffing, Jake Sollon all finished with 40s.
