Dennis Stover, retired banking first vice president and chairman of the O.L.G. finance council, provides an analysis of the economic aspects of Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortation The Joy of the Gospel. At Holy Child PTG, Bridgeville, an Easter Basket Family Bingo will be held April 6 in the gym. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. followed by early bird games at 1:30 and regular games at 1:45. This is a an all-paper bingo with four cards for each game. Twelve regular games offer a $20 cash prize, one special game a $50 cash prize, and one coverall jackpot a $100 cash prize. At Beth Israel Center, Jefferson Hills, the last lecture of its Lecture Series will take place at 7:30 p.m. April 6. Speaker Illah Nourbakhsh, professor of Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University, will speak on “Robots in our Future.”

At Peters Creek Presbyterian Church, Venetia, small group registration for “40 Days of Community” will take place after the 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday services, through April 6. “40 Days of Community” will kick off April 27 and culminate 40 days later with Celebration on June 8.

• Easter Cantata “Witness,” 11 a.m. April 6. The cantata by Lloyd Larson is a dramatic musical presentation which covers the life, death and resurrection of Christ.

At Covenant Community Presbyterian Church, Green Tree, a Western Fun Night, sponsored by Peanuts Square Dance Club, will be held 7:30-10 p.m. April 8 for ages 9 to 90, featuring line dancing, square dancing and various mixers. At In His Presence Ministries, Bethel Park, Sunday services are held at 10 a.m. A Passover Seder, the Jewish feast that marks the beginning of Passover, will be celebrated. (PIC) At Thomas Presbyterian Church, Eighty Four, the Reverend Doctor William Youmans will be welcomed as the new pastor on Palm Sunday, April 13. Services will be at 8:45 and 11 a.m. After graduating from Columbia International University with a bachelor of arts degree, Rev. Youmans received a master of divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a doctor of ministry from UTS-PSCE. Ministry experience includes churches in Nevada, Virginia, and both North and South Carolina. Rev. Youmans and his wife, Nancy, are the parents of two adult children.

At Christ the Redeemer Anglican Parish, Canonsburg, a support group for cancer survivors, patients and caregivers will meet the second Tuesday of each month, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. beginning April 15. Hot soup will be served. Email nmccombe@hotmail.com with questions.

At St. Thomas More Church, Bethel Park, Eucharistic Adoration follows the 11:30 a.m. Mass every Wednesday. The rosary is recited after Mass. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is recited at 3 p.m. Recited evening prayer begins at 7 p.m. followed by Benediction.

At Jesus Fellowship, Bethel Park, a ladies Bible study, a seven-week video series with Priscilla Shirer titled “Jonah – Navigating a Life Interrupted,” will be held from 7:30-9 p.m. every other week, through June 16.
