Registration is now open for “Celebrate Indian Pride,” a fundraiser sponsored by The Peters Township Quarterback Club in support of the PT Indians Football Team. The fundraiser will take place from 7-10:30 p.m. May 3 at the Le Gras Hall at St. Louise De Marillac Church, Upper St. Clair.

The event will include food and beverages by “Gretchen’s Good Eats,” games, giveaways, silent auctions, 50/50 treasure chest, music, sports memorabilia auction and more.

Cost is $40 per person with proceeds going toward the purchase of 80 new uniforms and helmet face-masks for ninth-12th grade boys, as well as offset the costs of other program expenses incurred throughout the year.

Keystone Oaks Alumni Class of 1978, along with the Golden Wings Foundation, invite all KO supporters to a scholarship fundraiser to benefit the Keystone Oaks High School Class of 2014.

On April 26, the Mt. Lebanon High School Marching Blue Devil Band will sponsor its second annual Mattress Fundraiser Sale in the social hall of Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church, 975 Washington Road. Sale hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Discounts range from 30 to 60 percent below retail stores. All mattresses are brand new with outstanding factory warranties and include brands such as Simmons, Restonic, Southerland and more. The Bridgeville Public Library’s second annual Taste of the Town will be held April 26 in the Chartiers Room of the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department on Commercial Street.

For the past 75 years, Gilbert & Sullivan’s comic operas have lived on through The Pittsburgh Savoyards productions. More than 2,500 attended Savoyards shows last year at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library Theater in Carnegie.

Wrapping up the season-long 75th Anniversary Celebration will be The Grand Duke’s Dress Ball fundraiser, 8-11 p.m. April 26 at the Twentieth Century Club, the site of the first public performance by The Pittsburgh Savoyards. The masters of ceremonies are Jim Cunningham of WQED-FM and Jim Critchfield, a well-known local actor and teacher. There will be entertainment and dancing, including performances by individual artists of The Pittsburgh Savoyards, The Pittsburgh Savoyards Orchestra and The River City Swing Band. Hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, an exciting silent auction and a display of The Pittsburgh Savoyards historical memorabilia will also be part of the evening.

Blind & Vision Rehabilitation Services of Pittsburgh’s annual “Girls’ Night Out” fundraiser will take place April 30 at the Hollywood Theater, Dormont. To celebrate the Dormont Hollywood Theater’s re-opening anniversary, at 7 p.m. May 3, the Friends of the Hollywood Theater will host a birthday party fundraiser to raise money for a new $75,000 digital projector. As more movie studios turn to this growing technology, a digital projector is needed to keep the theater’s doors open. The Hollywood Theater’s “Go Digital” campaign is getting close to raising the funds needed for the projector. The evening will include live jazz music by Midnite Horns, tarot card readings, catering by Cain’s, a birthday cake and candy buffet, raffle and a screening of “Undaunted: The Forgotten Giants of Allegheny Observatory.”
