Pittsburgh Botanic Garden’s 24th Annual Plant Sale takes place 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. May 10 at Chartiers Country Club.

The 36th Annual Sewickley House Tour takes place May 2-3 and benefits the Child Health Association of Sewickley. For more information, call 412-741-2593.

Join friends, neighbors and volunteers 9 a.m.-12:20 p.m. May 3 for Collier’s Annual Clean-Up. Volunteers will be at Lane Construction, 2 Prestley Road in Presto. Clean up supplies, including gloves, trash bags, safety vests and a Keep Collier Beautiful T-shirt will be provided. To register, call 412-279-2525.

The Junior League of Pittsburgh will host its inaugural Mt. Washington Home Tour Opening Night Cocktail Party from 6:30-10:30 p.m. May 9 at LeMont. The home tour, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. May 10, will feature up to 14 homes with great views, architecture, history and design. Ticket holders will have an opportunity to tour the inside of all the homes. Giant Oaks Garden Club will sponsor its annual Plant Sale 9 a.m.-1 p.m. May 18 at the Peters Township Public Library, rain or shine. The sale, now in its 13th year, features a large variety of quality potted perennial plants selected from members’ gardens. Also featured are herbs, annuals, hanging baskets and raffle baskets of gardening items. GOGC members, many of whom are master gardeners, also provide assistance and answer individual gardening questions from the public. For more information, call Mary Stuart, co-chair, at 724-941-3081.

The Peters Township Farmers Market will take place from 3-7 p.m. every Wednesday, beginning May 28 at St. David’s Episcopal Church, Venetia.

Twenty vendors will sell everything from fresh produce to baked goods, honey, eggs, jams and jellies, salsas and prepared foods. Local farms Simmons and Kern will have stands. Freedom Farms will also be present along with a few artisans, too. A list will soon appear online at peterstownshipfarmersmarket.org.
