Will turf help Mt. Lebanon’s deer problem?
So many stories about the abundance of deer in Mt. Lebanon. The commissioners are reluctant to use lethal means to thin the herd. These same commissioners have just rammed artificial turf through, against the wishes of much of the citizenry. They ignore the dangers to the children from the “black crumb” fill used on this turf. Professional teams are not using this fill. Our only hope is to find a deer sick from exposure to this substance, then maybe the children will be safe, because you know they will then stop this project. It will be interesting to see if the deer avoid this field, they may have more sense.
