CASTLE SHANNON

DUI, drug violations: Police arrested on Joseph Henderson, 51, of Murtland Ave., Washington, Dec. 6 on Library Road for DUI and drug violations.

Drunk driving: James McDonough, 62, of Newport Drive, Pittsburgh, was arrested Dec. 6 for DUI.

Simple Assault: Anthony Bracco, 34, of Lebanon Avenue, Pittsburgh, was arrested Dec. 7 for simple assault.

Driving under the influence: Police arrested Jessica Fike, 22, of Fifth Street, Dravosburg, Dec. 8 for DUI on Library Road.

Retail theft and theft: Richard Van Holt, 26, of Poplar Street, Pittsburgh, was charged with theft and retail theft Dec. 9, police said.

Criminal attempt theft and drug violations: Matthew Woolaghan, 22, of Willow Street, Pittsburgh, was arrested on Grove Road Dec. 10 for criminal attempt theft and drug violations, police said.

Public intoxication: Purri Morris, 55,of Hoodridge Drive, Pittsburgh, was arrested Dec. 11 for public intoxication on Hoodridge Drive.

Robbery: At 12:30 p.m. Dec. 10, a thin, white male wearing a baseball cap, dark jacket and jeans passed a note to a teller at the First National Bank on Castle Shannon Boulevard demanding cash, police said. The Allegheny County police and the FBI are assisting with the investigation.

CECIL TOWNSHIP

Simple assault: Police arrested Jamie Lee Lemon, 45, of 57 Sycamore St., Muse, for punching her husband in the face at 7:32 p.m. Dec. 14. Police said Lemon, who was already on probation, was taken to Washington County Jail. She will be charged with domestic abuse and simple assault.

Tools taken: Police said $1,000 worth of construction tools were reported taken 8:37 a.m. Dec. 15 from an apartment on Town Center Boulevard in Southpointe.

MT. LEBANON:

Simple assault/obstruction of administration of law/resisting arrest: Edward Funwela, 25, and Natalie Rivera, 28, both of 129 Baywood Ave., Pittsburgh, were arrested 1:31 a.m. Dec. 7. Funwela was charged with simple assault, obstruction of administration of law and resisting arrest. Rivera was charged with simple assault, police said.

DUI: Maryisis Phillips, 26, of Cypress St., Pittsburgh arrested Dec. 7 for driving under the influence on Washington Road, police said.

DUI/carrying a firearm without a permit: Bryan Wester, 38, of 35 Highland Road, Bethel Park, was arrested Dec. 9 on Gilkeson Road for DUI and carrying a firearm without a permit, police said.

PETERS TOWNSHIP

Suspicious activity: Police are investigating an incident that happened at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 12 on Valleybrook Road. Two males knocked on the door of an elderly couple and said they were from the water company. They wanted to come inside the house to cleanse the plumbing because of recent water main breaks. The couple let the men in, but kept them in sight. The men left after five minutes and drove away in a white sports utility vehicle. Police are asking residents to ask anyone who knocks on their door and wants to come inside to first show some identification.

Burglary: The front door of the Kwik King on Washington Road was reported shattered shortly before 3 a.m. Dec. 15. Upon arrival, police found cigarettes scattered on the floor and determined an unknown amount of cigarettes were stolen. The incident remains under investigation.

SCOTT TOWNSHIP

Arrest: John Jackson, 18, of Virginia Avenue, Pittsburgh, was arrested Dec. 9 for stealing medication from the Shop N Save. Police said the theft was valued between $50 and $199.

Public intoxication: Police arrested Joseph Campbell of Scott Twp. Dec. 13 for public intoxication following a domestic incident on Front Street in Carnegie.

Arrest: Police will charge Michael Dettis, 26, and Allan Johnson, 56, with retail theft, drug paraphernalia and conspiracy for an incident that occurred at 4:42 p.m. Dec. 13 at Marshall’s.

Driving under the influence: John Dempsey, 55, of Crosby Avenue, Pittsburgh, was arrested for DUI at 12:42 a.m. Dec. 14.
